본 연구는 계열별 학생들의 비합리적인 신념과 학교생활 적응에 있어서 차이가 있는지를 알아보고자 한다. 또한 비합리적 신념의 하위 요인과 학교생활 적응의 하위 요인 사이에 상관이 있는지를 계열별로 확인하여 학교생활 적응을 위한 생활 지도 및 상담의 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다.
이러한 목적을 달성하기 위한 연구문제로 특목고, 일반계고, 전문계 고등학교 학생간의 비합리적 신념은 차이가 있는가? 특목고, 일반계고, 전문계 고등학교 학생간의 학교생활 적응에는 차이가 있는가? 특목고, 일반계고, 전문계 고등학교 학생의 비합리적 신념의 하위요인과 학교생활 적응은 상관이 있는가? 등 세 가지로 선정하였다.
연구문제를 해결하기 위하여 부산시내 특목고, 일반계고, 전문계고 계열별로 각 3학교 씩 2학년 학생 600명을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다.
비합리적 신념을 알아보기 위해 개인 신념 검사, 학교생활의 적응도를 확인하기 위해서 학교생활 적응 검사를 사용하였으며, 일원변량분석(ANOVA)과 사후검정 Tukey, 상관분석을 실시하였다.
본 연구의 결과를 연구문제를 중심으로 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 특목고, 일반계고, 전문계고 학생들의 비합리적 신념에서는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다.
둘째, 특목고, 일반계고, 전문계 고등학교 학생 간의 학교생활 적응에서는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다.
셋째, 특목고, 일반계고, 전문계 고등학교 학생의 비합리적 신념의 하위요인과 학교생활 적응은 유의미한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다.

The problem of adaptation to school life in adolescence can have an enormous influence on not only the pleasure of school life but also college entrance and afterwards finding work and determining wages.
Therefore the purpose of this study is to see whether there are differences among the three different kinds of high schools in students' irrational belief and school life adaptation, and whether there is a mutual relation between the subordinate factors of students' irrational belief and school life adaptation and is to offer the basic materials for student guidance and counseling.
For the purpose of the study, three questions were selected as the subjects : Is there a difference in irrational belief of the students at special purpose high schools, general high schools and vocational high schools? Is there a difference in school life adaptation among the students at special purpose high schools, general high schools and vocational high schools? Is there an interrelation between the subordiante factors of irrational belief and school life adaptation among the students at special purpose high schools, general high schools and vocational high schools?
To solve the problems of the study, I conducted it with 600 second year observing their adaptation to school life.
I carried out the individual belief test to see irrational belief and the school life adaptation test to see the degree of school life adaptation. For the statistics of these tests, three test methods were used : ANOVA, (Post-Hoc Test)Tucky and Correlation Analysis.
The results of the study are summarized as follows:
First, There was a meaningful statistical difference in the irrational beliefs of the students at special purpose high schools, general high schools and vocational high schools. The irrational beliefs of the students at general high schools and vocational high schools were higher than those of special purpose high school students. Especially, the irrational belief of the students at vocational high schools was more conspicuous than that of the students at special purpose high schools.
Second, there was a meaningful statistical difference in the school life adaptation of the students at special purpose high schools, general high schools and vocational high schools. The school life adaptation of the students at special purpose high schools was higher than that of the students at general high schools and vocational high schools. The academic and social adaptation in the subordinate realm of the students at special purpose high schools is higher than that of the students at general high schools and vocational high schools. School environmental and general adaptation of the students at the three kinds of high schools was higher in order of special purpose high schools, general high schools and vocational high schools.
Third, There was a meaningful interrelation between the subordinate factors of irrational belief and school life adaptation of the students at special purpose high schools, general high schools and vocational high schools. Problem Avoidance showed a negative correlation commonly in all the realms regardless of the kind of high schools, while Frustration Reactivity and Emotional irresponsibility did so in the realms of environment and adaptation.
In general high schools and vocational high schools, High Self-Expectations showed a positive correlation in the realm of learning adaptation and Over Concern About Others did so in the realm of social adaptation.
But it was shown that the correlation among the three kinds of high schools was different in most subordinate factors except the above referred ones.
