The purpose of this study was to identify the relationships between adolescents' perception of parental rearing attitudes and the developmental levels of moral judgment.
The subjects of the study were established as follows.
1. Is there any difference in parental rearing attitudes perceived by adolescents based on sex distinction?
2. Is there any difference in the developmental levels of moral judgment perceived by adolescents based on sex distinction?
3. By adolescents' sex, how is the relationship between parental rearing attitudes and the developmental levels of moral judgment?
To testify the above, 355 subjects of high school students( 180 male students, 175 female students) in Busan, Korea were chosen and analyzed.
The survey instruments used for this study were the Korean Egna Minnen Betraffande Uppfostran(EMBU-shot) and the Korean Defining Issues Test.
The results of this study are as follows.
First, it is shown that male students are a little higher than female in parental rearing attitudes perceived by adolescents based on the sex distinction. But there are no significant differences in probability.
Second, it is shown that female students are a little higher than male in the developmental levels of moral judgment perceived by adolescents based on sex distinction. But there are no significant differences in probability.
Third, it is shown that there are some relationships between parental rearing attitudes and the developmental levels of moral judgment.
