This research consists of Syllabus of Teaching Chinese Grammar and Study of Grammatical System in Teaching Chinese Language, and has two main purposes.
One subject was aimed at establishing the identity of Grammatical System in Teaching Chinese by investigating the changes in Syllabus of Teaching Chinese as well as the changes in the grammatical system thereof, gearing with further progress in the business relating to Chinese language education in China. Another subject was aimed to lay a foundation for Syllabus of Teaching Chinese Grammar for Koreans by proposing a design method to prepare Syllabus of Teaching Chinese Grammar for Korean learners by reflecting their individual characteristics relating to the parts which become inadequate when applying the syllabus to Korean learners of Chinese, having analyzed Syllabus of Teaching Chinese Grammar established in China.
With such purposes in mind, the researcher closely reviewed the background of establishment of Syllabus of Teaching Chinese Grammar, which is interconnected with the progress in business relating to Chinese education in China. And the researcher investigated the grammatical system in teaching Chinese and its characteristics which were reflected in those syllabuses of teaching grammar by dividing it into ‘Grammar in Language Teaching’ for Chinese citizens and ‘Grammar in Chinese Language Teaching’ for foreign learners. Also the researcher conducted a comparative analysis between the two systems: “A Standard of the Chinese Language Level and General Outline of Chinese Grammar”, expressed in Chinese version as 『汉语水平等级标准与语法等级大纲』, and “International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education”, expressed as 『国际汉语教学通用课程大纲』, then after, the researcher investigated whether these systems become appropriate when applying it to Korean learners. Based on the International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education, expressed as 『国际汉语教学通用课程大纲』 which is congruent with the course objectives of Koran learners of Chinese, the researcher examined whether this curriculum will be adequate so as to apply it to Korean learners, and also analyzed the parts which were believed to become inadequate for further application. Finally, the researcher attempted to find a solution for such inadequate parts on the basis of Contrastive Analysis between Korean and Chinese where Korean learners’ individual characteristics had been reflected, including ‘Integrated Categorization’, ‘Relative Grade Sequence’, and ‘Cumulative Sequencing’ for which Error Analysis was conducted, and also methods for ‘Cumulative Sequencing’, ‘Reestablishment of Grammatical Items’ and ‘Expansion of Descriptions about Grammatical Items’. It is hoped that this research will become a foundation to prepare the Syllabus of Teaching Chinese Grammar for Korean Learners.
