As a physical analysis of swimming start, this study will show the purpose which clarify the best start for improvement, making an analysis between Grab Start and Track Start. Subjects for this study are five members of Gwang-ju city team for the freestyle, the butterfly stroke and the breaststroke. Making a film from starting to entering, through three-dimentional film program, analyzing the time per the section, the time of the whole section, the variation of body center for the whole section, the angle of projection and the entering distance, I get a result following.
1) Track start is faster than Grab start even though there is a gap between the time per the section and the time of the whole section. Thus, Track start has short duration of flight.
2) The variation of body center for the whole section of Grand and Tracstart has three things- x axis, y axis, and z axis, in case of x axis, Track start is more stable than Grab start because there is less movement to right. Also, y axis of Grab start has Shorter easy instant and longer the entering moment and vice versa. In other words, Track stast has less left movement and lower easy and enters faster than Grab start.
3) When starting, Track start is faster than Grab start when it comes to easy instant. Therefore, Track start is more efficient than Grab start in game.
4) There is no difference in the angle of projection but players of Track start tend downward when easy instant.
5) Players of Track start have shorter entering distance because they have shorter easy instant downward as the angle of projection.
