전시컨벤션 센터가 지역커뮤니티 형성에 미치는 영향 : 지역주민의 전시컨벤션 센터에 대한 인식을 중심으로 = Effects of exhibition convention center on local community : focused on the recognition of the local residents about the Exhibition Convention Center

국문 초록 (Abstract)

전시컨벤션 산업은 다양하고 막대한 사회경제적 파급효과를 기대 할 수 있는 고부가가치 산업이다. 따라서 오늘날 세계 주요도시들과 국가들은 전시컨벤션 산업의 경쟁에서 우위를 선점하기 위하여 체계적이고 다각적인 노력을 기울이고 있다. 전시 컨벤션 산업에 대한 관심이 높아지고 유망 받는 산업으로 꼽히면서 전시컨벤션 센터가 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 가운데 전시컨벤션 센터의 무분별한 건설과 지역 간의 경쟁에서 비롯된 난립에 대한 문제 또한 지속적으로 제기되고 있다.
따라서 본 연구는 전시컨벤션 센터가 경제적 효과 이외의 지역에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 하여 지역사회에 영향을 미치는 지역커뮤니티와의 관계를 통하여 지역주민의 전시컨벤션 센터 인식에 대한 속성 요인과 지역커뮤니티 형성에 관한 속성 요인들을 도출하고 실증분석을 통하여 전시컨벤션 센터가 지역커뮤니티 형성에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다.
연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 선행연구를 통하여 전시컨벤션 센터의 속성을 바탕으로 지역 주민의 전시컨벤션 센터 인식에 대한 속성과 지역 커뮤니티 형성 속성을 도출하였다. 이에 대한 신뢰성 검증과 타당성 검증을 위해 신뢰성 분석과 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 마지막으로 전시컨벤션 센터의 속성요인과 지역 커뮤니티 형성의 속성 간의 영향관계를 분석하기 위해 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다.
조사대상의 모집단은 일산에 거주하고 있는 시민들로, 편의표본추출법을 사용하여 2009년 11월에 자기기입식방법으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 총 회수된 설문지 310부 가운데 유효한 300부를 활용하였다.
문헌연구를 통하여 지역 주민의 전시컨벤션 센터 인식에 대한 속성을 도출하기 위하여 전시컨벤션 센터의 속성 항목을 28개로 정리하였으며 확인적 요인분석 결과로 첨단시설, 편의성, 국제화, 문화 및 위락, 경제적 효과의 5개 요인으로 도출하였다. 또한 지역 커뮤니티 형성에 관한 속성으로는 커뮤니티 구성요소인 지역성, 공동체성, 유기체성을 도출하였다.
실증분석 결과를 가설을 통하여 구체적으로 살펴보면 지역 주민의 전시컨벤션 센터 인식에 대한 속성요인은 첫째, 지역 주민의 전시컨벤션 센터 인식에 대한 속성요인은 지역커뮤니티 형성을 위한 속성 중 지역성에 대하여 편의성, 문화 및 위락, 경제적 효과의 3개의 요인이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 둘째, 공동체성에 대하여는 편의성 요인만이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 마지막으로 유기체성에 대하여는 편의성, 경제적 효과의 요인이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
따라서 다음과 같은 시사점을 도출할 수 있었다. 첫째, 전시컨벤션 센터가 지역 커뮤니티 형성에 일정 부분 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으므로 지금까지 간과되어오던 전시컨벤션 센터의 사회적인 부분에 대한 타당성의 바탕이 되며 또한 지속적으로 제기되고 있는 경제적인 부분과 난립의 지적에 대한 대안의 바탕이 된다. 둘째, 전시컨벤션 센터를 통하여 지역 커뮤니티의 형성을 통한 지역의 지속적인 발전을 도모하며 지역 주민의 삶의 질의 향상과 요구를 충족시킬 수 있다. 셋째, 전시컨벤션 센터는 지역 커뮤니티 형성이 이루어 질 수 있도록 편의성에 대한 부분을 지속적으로 향상 시켜야 한다. 마지막으로 현재 운영되는 전시컨벤션 센터를 포함한 앞으로 건설될 전시컨벤션 센터들은 인센티브를 통하여 전시컨벤션 센터가 위치하고 있는 지역 및 지역 커뮤니티에게 혜택을 제공함으로써 전시컨벤션 센터의 이용을 권장해야 한다.
본 연구는 기존의 선행 연구들과는 달리 지역 커뮤니티를 이용하여 전시컨벤션 센터가 지역에 미치는 효과에 대한 연구를 시도함으로서 학문적으로 새로운 관점을 제시하였다는 것에 큰 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다. 그리고 본 연구가 가지고 있는 몇 가지의 한계점을 극복하고 보완하여 향후 양질의 연구들이 지속적으로 수행되어야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The exhibition convention industry is a higher value-added business. Therefore, international main cities and countries have put forth systematic and multilateral efforts into being more competitive in it. While exhibition convention centers continue to be increased as interest in it gets higher and it gets to be a promising business, problems about thoughtless construction about them and many ones resulted from competitiveness between local areas also continue to be raised.
Therefore, in this study, we tried to draw property factors about recognition of exhibition convention centers and formation of local community by local residents from relationship with the local community that has an effect on the local society and examine effects on formation of it by them through an empirical analysis to examine effects on areas except economic effects of them.
To accomplish the study purpose, we drew properties about recognition of exhibition convention centers and formation of local community by local residents based on properties of exhibition convention centers through the preceding studies. We executed a reliable analysis and a confirmatory factor analysis to verify reliability and feasibility about them. Finally, we did a multiple regression analysis to analyze effect relationship between property factors of exhibition convention centers and of formation of local community.
Population of the survey is citizens in Ilsan and we executed the survey with the self-administered method using convenience sampling on Nov. 2009. We utilized efficient 300 copies in the total 310 ones that we collected.
We divided the property items of exhibition convention centers into 28 to draw properties about recognition of them by local residents and drew high tech facilities, convenience, internationalization, culture and recreation, economic effects as the result of confirmatory factor analysis. We also did components of community, locality, community characteristics and organism as the properties about formation of local community.
Let's examine the results of the empirical analysis concretely through hypotheses. first, as for about locality of ones for formation of local community, it has found that three factors of convenience, culture and recreation, economic effects have effects on the property factors about recognition of exhibition convention centers by local residents. Second, it has found that the convenience factor only has an effect on community characteristics. Finally, it has found that the factors of convenience and economic effects have effects on organism.
Therefore, we could draw the following implications. First, the exhibition convention centers serve as the foundation for feasibility about their social parts that have been overlooked until now and for alternatives of pointing out their economic parts and many numbers that continue to be raised because they have partial effects on formation of local community. Second, you can promote the continuous development of local areas through formation of local community and satisfy improvement and need of the local residents' quality of life. Third, the exhibition convention centers should continue to improve the part about convenience to accomplish formation of local community. Finally, the exhibition convention centers that will be constructed in the future including the existing ones encourage the areas and local community that they are located in to use them by providing benefits with them.
Unlike the existing preceding studies, this study is meaningful that it presented the new point of academic view by attempting ones about effects on areas of the exhibition convention centers using the local community. The future studies with good quality should be continuously executed overcoming and complementing several limits that this study has.
