    The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of circuit training on body composition, blood lipid and cardiorespiratory fitness in middle aged obese women. 20 obese (body mass index of at least ≥25 or %body fat ≥ 30%) middle aged women were selected.
    Subjects were divided into two groups; circuit training group(n=10), control group(n=10). Circuit training program was composed with nonaerobic and aerobic exercise. After 12 weeks of circuit training, body weight(p<.001), body fat(p<.001), percentage of body fat(p<.001), waist/hip ratio(p<.011) were significantly decreased in the circuit training group compared to the control group. and TC(p<.052), TG(p<.063) shows the tendency of improved in the circuit training group compared to the control group, but there's no significant differences between two groups. After 12 weeks, cardiorespiratory fitness(p<.001) was significantly increased in the circuit training group compared to the control group.
    It was concluded that circuit training program has positive effect on the body composition, blood lipid and could promote the cardiorespiratory fitness in middle aged obese women.
