소비자의 펀드정보이해도와 투자성향에 관한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

금융상품의 불완전 판매를 방지하고, 펀드 손실에 따른 분쟁 및 소송을 사전에 방지하기 위해 「표준투자권유준칙」이 제정되었고 현재 주식을 포함한 모든 종류의 펀드와 금융투자상품을 투자할 때 ‘투자자 정보 확인서’를 작성하여 투자성향을 조사하고 있다. 또한 ‘투자자체크리스트’의 내용을 모두 설명듣고 서명해야만 금융투자상품에 투자할 수 있다. 따라서 앞으로 「표준투자권유준칙」의 ‘투자자 정보 확인서’와 ‘투자자체크리스트’는 소비자들의 금융투자상품을 선택하는 데 있어서 중요한 요인이 될 것이다.
본 연구에서는 현재 시행되고 있는「표준투자권유준칙」의 내용에 근거하여 소비자의 펀드정보이해도와 투자성향에 대하여 연구하고자 한다. 이를 위해 선행연구를 통하여 펀드정보이해도에 대한 관련변수를 고찰하였고, 투자성향의 의의와 투자성향의 유형구분, 투자성향 관련변수를 고찰한 후, 「표준투자권유준칙」의 내용을 근거로 하여 소비자의 펀드정보이해도와 투자성향을 분석하였다.
총 350부의 설문지를 배포하여 그 중 325부를 회수하였으며, 분석 결과는 다음과 같이 요약될 수 있다.
첫째, 인구통계학적 특성과 재정적 특성에 따른 소비자의 펀드정보이해도를 분석한 결과, 성별, 연령, 교육수준, 직업, 월평균소득, 금융자산에 따라 소비자의 펀드정보이해도에 차이가 있었다.
둘째, 인구통계학적 특성과 재정적 특성에 따른 소비자의 '평가결과 투자성향'을 분석한 결과, 성별, 연령, 직업, 월평균소득, 금융자산에 따라 소비자의 '평가결과 투자성향'이 차이가 있었다.
셋째, 소비자의 '평가결과 투자성향'과 '위험선호 투자성향'을 비교하여 집단을 세분화하여 각 집단별 인구통계학적 특성과 재정적 특성을 비교 분석한 결과, 성별, 연령, 직업에 따라 집단별 차이가 있었다.
이는 소비자의 인구통계적 특성과 재정적 특성에 따라 펀드정보이해도, '평가결과 투자성향'이 다르다는 것을 의미하며, 소비자 투자성향에 따른 펀드선택에 있어서 성별, 연령, 직업에 따라 소비자의 펀드선택에 제한이 있을 수 있음을 보여준다.
본 연구는 소비자를 보호하기 위해 시행된 「표준투자권유준칙」이 성공적인 제도로 정착하는데 기여할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Globalization (and complication perhaps a different process can be mentioned) of financial market has increased the complexity and difficulty for investors when making decisions on the composition of their mutual funds. Understanding their mutual funds' risk is important for maintaining the stability of the investments, which without such an understanding may lead to a deterioration in stability and subsequent loss of investments.
A study of financial education by the Korea Council for Investment Education (KCIE) shows that the financial and investment knowledge of consumer is very low.
Korea Financial Investment Association (KOFIA) compiles information on confirmation of investor that includes risk tolerance level and period of investment and make the check list for investor. KOFIA began compiling the confirmation of investor information and check list for investors from February 2009.
This study measured Comprehensive understanding of Mutual Fund by using the check list for investor and investment attitude by using the confirmation of investor information. The data on questionnaire from 325 adults who had mutual fund investment experience was collected and analyzed.
The study executed a comparative analysis by utilizing various statistical techniques such as frequency, percentile, ANOVA, t-test, F-test, χ²(chi-square)-test in order to assess the differences between Comprehensive understanding of Mutual Fund and investment attitude by group. Analysis of the socoio-demographic characteristics of the study group was also crucial for assessing the comparative influences between Comprehensive understanding of Mutual Fund and investment attitude. This study conlcudes that Comprehensive understanding of Mutual Fund and attitude toward investments differs amongst demographic groups. The results of this study could be used to improve the financial education and lead to adequate investment attitude towards mutual funds.
