그림책에 나타난 친구관계

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this research, I studied on how picture books dealt with friendship by analyzing the friendship's construction stages, form and role in picture books. Specific research topics are as follows.
1. How do the picture books portray the friendship's construction stages?
2. How do the picture books portray the friendship's form?
3. How do the picture books portray the friendship's role?
This study's objects are 110 books, among the books published in Korea of late about 10years from January. 1999 to September. 2009, and the books have the main subject of friendship and show friendship's construction stages, form, role.
In this study, I classified friendship ideas development stages into 3 levels proposed by Damon(1977, Han Yeongja, Kwak Eunbok, Kim Minjeong, Jang Seongok, referred again in 2007 p.40) for finding friendship's construction stages out. On this occasion, I aimed at only 23 books representing friendship in 3 stages for analyzing friendship's form and role.
To figure out friendship's form, I used the categories such as members' number, classification, age lineup in friendship based on preceding research. To make out friendship's role, I used the subordinate categories utilized by Parker and Asher(1993) for evaluating quality of friendship, and analyzed them with classifying 5 sorts such as companionship and recreation, validation and caring, intimate exchange, help and guidance, conflict resolution.
I collected the data about friendship by framing book analysis recording paper for analyzing data. When analyzing friendship's role, if the role, which was included by several categories in a book, appeared, I recorded plurally. I calculated frequency and percentage by treating same categories' repeated performances as single performance.
The conclusion of this study is as follows. First, friendship's construction stages in the picture books appeared most frequently in the first stage, followed by the second stage, the third stage in the order named.
Second, the results of inquiry into friendship's form in the picture books, most frequently consist of 2 members, followed by 6 members in the order named. In the member's classification of friendship, the friendship between animal and animal appeared most frequently, followed by between person and person, between person and animal, between person and other member's friendships in the order named. The member's age lineup appeared most frequently among same aged people, followed by among the people including 'unknown aged people' and grown-up in the order named.
Third, The friendship's role in the picture books, most frequently appeared as companionship and recreation, followed by help and guidance, validation and caring, conflict resolution, intimate exchange in the order named.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 그림책에 나타난 친구관계의 구성단계와 형태 및 역할을 분석하여 그림책에서 친구관계를 어떻게 다루고 있는지에 관하여 알아보았다. 구체적인 연구문제는 다음과 같다.
1. 그림책에서 나타난 친구관계의 구성단계는 어떠한가?
2. 그림책에서 나타난 친구관계의 형태는 어떠한가?
3. 그림책에서 나타난 친구관계의 역할은 어떠한가?
본 연구의 대상은 1999년 1월부터 2009년 9월까지 최근 10여년 사이 국내에 출판된 그림책 중 친구관계가 주제이며 친구관계의 구성단계와 형태 및 역할이 드러난 110권의 도서이다. 본 연구에서는 친구관계의 구성단계를 알아보기 위하여 Damon(1977, 한영자, 곽은복, 김민정, 장승옥, 2007에서 재인용 p.40)이 제시한 3수준의 우정 개념 발달 단계로 분류하였다. 이때 3단계의 친구관계를 나타낸 도서 23권만을 대상으로 친구관계의 형태와 역할을 분석하였다. 친구관계의 형태를 알아보기 위하여 선행 연구를 기초로 한 친구관계 구성원 수, 분류, 연령 구성 범주를 사용하였으며 친구관계의 역할을 알아보기 위해 Parker와 Asher(1993)가 사용한 친구관계의 질을 측정하기 위한 하위 범주를 사용하여 교제 및 놀이, 인정과 돌봄, 친밀한 감정적 교류, 도움과 지원, 갈등 해결의 5가지로 분류하여 분석하였다. 자료 분석을 위해 도서 분석 기록 용지를 작성하여 친구관계에 관한 자료를 수집하였다. 친구관계의 역할 분석 시 한 도서 당 여러 범주에 해당하는 역할이 나타난 경우 복수 기록하였고, 동일한 범주의 반복 실행은 1회로 처리하여 빈도와 백분율을 산출하였다.
본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 그림책에 나타난 친구관계의 구성 단계는 1단계, 2단계, 3단계 순으로 많이 나타났다.
둘째, 그림책에 나타난 친구관계의 형태를 살펴본 결과 친구관계 구성원 수는 2명으로 이루어진 경우가 대부분이었고, 그 외에는 6명이 나타났다. 친구관계의 구성원 분류는 동물과 동물 간의 친구관계가 가장 많이 나타났으며, 다음으로 사람과 사람, 사람과 동물, 사람과 기타 구성원 간의 친구관계 순으로 나타났다. 친구관계의 연령 구성을 알아본 결과 또래와의 친구관계가 가장 많이 나타났으며, 다음으로 ‘연령을 알 수 없음’과 성인이 포함된 관계 순으로 나타났다.
셋째, 그림책에 나타난 친구관계의 역할은 교제와 놀이가 가장 많이 나타났으며, 도움과 지원, 인정과 돌봄, 갈등 해결, 친밀한 감정적 교류 순으로 나타났다.
