In the present, study about the occupational satisfaction of the beauty artists is necessary because the job displacement of beauty artists directly lead to the decrease in the productivity. In this study, the author measured working environment, educational development training, and satisfaction regarding personal relations that are measuring-elements for the occupational satisfaction of the beauty artists for the purpose of recognizing the influence that these elements contribute to the intention to change the occupation.
For this purpose, the author surveyed four thousand fifty beauty artists without distributions to sex and age who works in the beauty shops that are located in the Seoul and Gyeonggi province, and who are extracted by random sampling from 2009 August 5 until September 14th. Frequency analysis, factors analysis, technical statistics analysis, independent sample t-test and one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis, and simple and multi regression analysis are utilized as data analytical methods, and the author analyzed these by utilizing SPSS v.12.0 statistical package program.
Followings are results:
First, they thinks that the cut-education most important as the results regarding the recognition of the degree regarding educational development training, answered average frequency of technical education was 1~2 which is got in the work place, indicated that necessity of employees' education and objective consciousness shortage as the most significant points, and pointed technical enhancement as the most important purpose of the employees' education. Actual technique or practice was the most common educational method, and the first was the salary, the second was opportunity of technical acquisition and external education etc, and the third was nearness from the dwelling site as the most importantly thought conditions when selecting the beauty-shop; respondents could select 3-multiple answers.
Secondly, as details of occupational satisfaction of beauty artists satisfaction regarding personal relations appeared highest, and followed by physical environment, working environment, and compensation management in regular sequence. In the overall satisfaction the married appeared relatively high comparing to the unmarried, and college attending/graduate was most high regarding educational development training.
Thirdly, external job displacement intention was higher than internal job displacement intention at the general job displacement intention of beauty artists. The higher satisfaction of the educational development training, the larger occupational satisfaction, and it is also come out that enhancement of occupational satisfaction has the positive effect on the educational development training. As occupational satisfaction increases, job displacement intention lowered, and it was found that enhancement of educational development training also lowers the job displacement intention.
Examining these results, beauty shops should try to provide more systemic and greater opportunity of education to the beauty artists. Mixture of ability system and flat sum system will be the good way, as the payment method, for the stabilization and motivation of the beauty artists, and to decrease the job displacement rate quality should be enhanced through the more systemic and long term educational training.
In this study, by the limitation of time and distance, the targets were beauty artists only in the Seoul, and Gyeonggi province at the selection and investigation of the sample. Generalization of the occupational satisfaction and job displacement intention according to the sex is thought to be unreasonable because distribution of sex showed man 20.0%, woman 80%. Therefore, the next study requires the actual proof investigation considering about distribution of sex.
