This paper deals with the comparison of the common Korean-Chinese words and Chinese Words. The aim of this study is to investigate the morphologic difference and semantic difference between the common Korean-Chinese words and Chinese Words, which was focused on the vocabulary in the <The Report on the Vocabulary Chosen for Learning Korean>. A brief outline of this study is as follows.
In Chapter Ⅱ, the development and the vocabulary composition of Korean-Chinese words and Chinese words is described.
In Chapter Ⅲ, the morphologic difference and semantic difference between the common Korean-Chinese words and Chinese Words are analyzed in many sides and they are as follows.
First, the vocabulary was divided into the homotypic one (the same form, i.e. same Chinese character) and the heterotypic one (different form, i.e. different Chinese character or same Chinese characters but different sequence). Then, the homotypic one was divided into synonymous vocabulary and non-synonymous vocabulary to discover the semantic difference of them.
Last, the heterotypic one was categorized as completely different morpheme, partially different morpheme, same-morpheme and opposite-order.
