As the interest in life-long study has increased day by day, voluntary study clubs is increasing continuously. In life-long study age, desirable study type can be study clubs that are organized voluntary participation and assembly. In accordance with this trend and recognition, many attempts and efforts to vitalize study clubs are being made. It will be desirable for features of study clubs classified as types to be examined and for management ways in accordance with these features to be found in order to vitalize study clubs. This study classified study clubs as in-depth study type, specialized research type, problem solving type and among them, I have studied in-depth study type clubs which account for most of the study clubs through quantity and quality analysis.
This study is to suggest desirable management way by seeking the relationships with realization of study community that study clubs ultimately should direct in accordance with feature and management of study clubs For this purpose, I have sought the factor about life-long study club management and analyzed whether present management of study clubs is correlated with realization of study community depending on whether each feature exists or not by finding the factors for realization of study community. Besides, in oder to seek management method of efficient life-long study clubs, I have found general management of study clubs through participatory observation by screening outstanding study clubs ( on the recommendation of the person in charge).
To achieve the purpose of this study, I have used the following study method.
First, I have sought quantity and quality factors through research of documentary records.
Second, I have conducted a survey through personal self - administration method for adult learners aged 20 belonging to study clubs in Daegu·Gyeongbuk district in order to find the difference of study community realization depending on whether each factor that is necessary for the management of study clubs exists or not and to find whether each management factor of study clubs is correlated with study community realization . To find the difference of study community realization in accordance with existence or nonexistence of factor, I have used T-test analysis while to find the relationships with study community realization in accordance with factor about management , I have used Pearson's correlation analysis.
Third, I have made questionnaire that is composed of detailed items which can evaluate management type of study clubs by analyzing preceding research about study clubs that are applicable to in-depth study type. With reference to in-depth interview of quality research, I have interviewed the subjects on the recommendation of the operators who are in charge of outstanding study clubs and I have recorded the contents of interview by extracting the contents that are related with this study. I have found the background of club formation, purpose, feature, management method and leader support vision etc. for this study. I have made an appointment with the leaders of study clubs after receiving and examining the materials about this research related clubs from the person in charge of study club support work. I presided over the interviews and recorded the contents of in-depth interviews in MP3.
The findings of this study are like this.
With reference to quantity research, in research 1, I have analyzed the difference of study community realization in accordance with existence or nonexistence of study club component (human factor, physical factor, administrative financial factor and network factor) . in research 2, I have conducted correlation analysis to find the relationships between participatory life-long clubs inspection and study community realization . As a result of analysis on the contents of research, in accordance with the existence or nonexistence of human factor, physical factor, administrative financial factor and network factor, the difference of study community realization shows significant result as well as insignificant result. Compared with average values of factors based on significant result, in the event study club components exist, average values for study community realization are higher. This suggests study clubs can achieve study community realization when factors which management of study clubs should be equipped exist .
In research 2, I have conducted correlation analysis in order to find the relationships between study community realization and each participatory life-long study clubs inspection. As a result of analysis, I can find that club organization inspection, club management inspection, club study and discussion inspection have high correlations with each factor of study community realization in terms of social science . This fact can be applied as useful materials when we design study club management for study community realization. This also suggest that we can operate more improved life-long study clubs if we plan life-long study club management by referring to coefficient of correlation of each factor when we present management plan that is appropriate for organization purpose.
With reference to qualitative research, as a result of in-depth interview about adult study clubs which are applicable to both in-depth study type and welfare service type, certain members have organized study clubs for in-depth study.
