The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of Basic Psychological Needs Satisfaction in Interpersonal Relationships between gratitude and subjective well-being. Study 1 was conducted validation of Gratitude Adjective Checklist(GAC) and Basic Psychological Needs Satisfaction Scale(BPNS) in Interpersonal Relationships. Study 1 was investigated for 225 university students by Korean Version of Gratitude Questionnaire's correlation and Hierarchical Regression Analysis. BPNS in Interpersonal Relationships was executed confirmatory factor Analysis. To validate the scale, correlations between 3 factors of the BPNS, the Inventory of Peer Attachment-Revised and the Self-Efficacy Scale were examined. As a result, the validation on two scales was confirmed.
Study 2 was to demonstrate the mediating effect of the BPNS in Interpersonal Relationships between gratitude and subjective well-being. 202 university students were participated in this study. The result indicated that through the structural equation modeling, the partial mediation about the influence of Basic Psychological Needs Satisfaction(BPNS) in Interpersonal Relationships between gratitude and subjective well-being was confirmed. Finally, implications and limitations of this study and suggestion for future study were addressed.
