The purpose of this thesis is to maximize the athletic power of female Judo players by understanding the female Judo players' mental power level and Korean style mental power level, and clarifying the relationship of the factors of mental power level, Korean style mental power level and the athletic power.
To accomplish the purpose of this thesis, a population of total 500 female Judo players who participated in 00 Judo Contest in 2009 were studied by simple random sampling, and except for the 34 poor or untrustworthy materials, Mental Toughness Test(MTT) of Loehr(1982) for the test of mental power, and Wonbae Kim's Mental power questionaire(2002) for the test of Korean style mental power were used for the 466 players after adaptation. Also, the method of Taeseok Seo (2003) was used for the conversion of scores after measuring the athletic power.
To calculate the average and the standard deviation of mental power factors and Korean style mental power factors by demographical characteristics, and to verify the differences, T-test and One-Way ANOVA were executed. Regression analysis was executed to investigate the effect of mental power and the Korean style mental power on the athletic power. The significance level was set as p<0.05 and the results are as following.
First, the mental power by the age of female Judo players showed difference from the point of positive energy, and after postoptimality analysis, the age of 21~25 showed more than ages under 15 and 16~20.
Second, the mental power by the Judo experience of female Judo players showed difference from the points of visual and mental image controls, and positive energy, and after postoptimality analysis, the period over 61 months showed more than period of 1~12 months.
Third, the mental power by the prize winning experience of female Judo players didn't show any difference in mental power.
