The increased supply of High-speed internet has caused the increased communication via a computer. A way of communication methods through the internet is the 'reply' to internet bulletins which is worthy of note. The 'reply' is now regarded not only as a simple 'answer' to a posted article but also as a way of 'play'. The 'reply' has been popular because there are no strong restrictions, no constrains and it is short and easy to type in, so that it becomes popular for youths to express themselves to the internet. Now the 'reply' culture becomes a cultural fashion to the youths. Thus, three aims are set up to analyze the internet 'reply' culture of the juvenile.
First, I investigated the fashion change of the 'reply' by year.
Second, I analyzed the youths' language used in 'reply' classifying by its contents.
Third, the culture of the 'reply' between them is evaluated.
To achieve the purposes of this study the cases of the internet 'replies' are analysed. The 'replies' from the early to the latest have been compared to achieve the first goal of the study and to understand the change of fashion in the 'reply' culture. Phonetic-spelling contraction, syllable contraction, symbols, jargons, slangs, newly coined words, onomatopoeia, mimetic words, and the use of broken grammar in the 'reply' has been examined to know the yearly change of the 'reply' fashion.
It shows that the juvenile 'reply' reflects their language and life style. New vocabulary and words-in-fashion of the 'reply' has been appeared by the change of fashion in change of era.
To achieve the second goal, the 'replies' are classified case by case and the change of the style of the 'reply' is analyzed. The cases of the 'replies' have been categorized into 7 groups: computer games, the culture of popular motion picture, adoration of the star entertainer, interest on appearance, education, politics-economy, and worry on entering the school of higher grade, and the categorized 'reply' on the subjects are analyzed. It shows that the 'reply' reflects the youth's language.
To achieve the third goal, Pros and cons of the 'reply' culture are evaluated. It concludes that the youths' language is melt into the youth's reply and they are repeatedly created and disappeared so that it gives a merit that enrich the language, on the other hand, it has a bad aspect that breaks the grammar of the language, which possibly causes confusion of orthographical rules and make difficulty in communication between generations. The use of so-called emoticons make it possible the expression of various feeling in simple and quick manner. Through the 'reply', they can share the information and discuss the subject freely as well. However the appearance of the bad replier who hurt others is the side effects of the 'reply' culture on internet. Thus the youths' 'reply' culture has pros and cons at the same time.
