구성주의 이론에 기초한 가창지도 방법이 유아의 음악적 흥미와 음악적 태도에 미치는 영향 = Effects of Constructivism Theory-based Singing Instruction on Young Children's Musical Interest and Attitudes

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 구성주의 이론에 기초한 가창지도 방법이 유아의 음악적 흥미와 음악적 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고 유아교육기관의 바람직한 유아 가창지도를 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다.

연구문제1. 구성주의 이론에 기초한 가창지도 방법이 유아의 음악적 흥미에 미 치는 영향은 어떠한가?
연구문제2. 구성주의 이론에 기초한 가창지도 방법이 유아의 음악적 태도에 미 치는 영향은 어떠한가?

본 연구의 대상은 Y시에 소재한 두 곳의 유아교육기관에 재원중인 만 5세 유아 40명이다. 한 유아교육기관(T어린이집)의 한 학급 만 5세 유아 20명을 실험집단으로 하고 다른 유아교육기관(K어린이집)의 한 학급 만 5세 유아 20명을 비교집단으로 구성하였다. 연구절차는 예비검사, 사전검사, 8주 동안의 실험처치, 사후검사 순서로 이루어졌으며 실험처치는 2009년 3월 9일부터 2009년 5월 1일까지 주 2회씩 8주간 총 16회에 걸쳐 실시하였다. 실험집단의 가창지도 방법은 구성주의 이론에 기초한 통합적인 내용과 방법으로 구성하였으며, 비교 집단의 가창지도 방법은 전통적인 방식인 구절법으로만 지도하였다.
유아의 음악적 흥미와 음악적 태도 검사 도구는 정애경(2003)의 연구에서 사용한 것을 연구자가 본 연구의 목적에 적합하게 수정ㆍ보안하여 사용하였다.
자료분석은 SPSS 17.0 프로그램을 활용하여 t 검증과 공변량분석을 실시하였다.

본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 구성주의 이론에 기초한 가창지도 방법을 실시한 실험집단이 전통적인 방식인 구절법으로만 가창지도 방법을 실시한 비교집단보다 유아의 음악적 흥미 점수가 통계적으로 유의하게 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 구성주의 이론에 기초한 가창지도 방법은 유아의 음악적 흥미 발달에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다고 할 수 있다.
둘째, 구성주의 이론에 기초한 가창지도 방법을 실시한 실험집단이 전통적인 방식인 구절법으로만 가창지도 방법을 실시한 비교집단보다 유아의 음악적 태도 점수가 통계적으로 유의하게 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 음악적 태도 하위 요인인 탐색, 표현, 감상 모두 실험집단이 비교집단 보다 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 구성주의 이론에 기초한 가창지도 방법은 유아의 음악적 태도 향상에 영향을 미쳤다. 즉, 음악적 태도 하위 요인 중 탐색, 표현, 감상이 포함 된 검사에서 실험집단이 모두 향상된 것으로 나타났다.

이러한 결과는 구성주의 이론에 기초한 가창지도 방법이 유아의 음악적 흥미와 음악적 태도 증진에 효과가 있음을 나타낸다. 따라서 이러한 결과는 구성주의 이론에 기초한 가창지도 방법은 유아의 음악적 흥미와 음악적 태도 증진을 위한 효과적인 교수학습 방법이 될 수 있음을 시사 하는 것이라 하겠다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study lies upon figuring out the effects of constructivism theory-based singing instruction on young children's musical interest and attitudes and then offering basic data for desirable singing instruction for young children at early childhood educational institutions. To achieve the purpose, these subjects were set up as follow.

Subject matter 1. What's the effects of constructivism theory-based singing instruction on young children's musical interest?
Subject matter 2. What's the effects of constructivism theory-based singing instruction on young children's musical attitudes?

40 of under 5-year old children attending 2 early childhood educational institutions in Y cities were picked up as the subject for this study. 20 young children in a class at a early childhood educational institution were chosen as the experimental group and the rest of 20 children in a class at another early childhood educational institution were chosen as the comparative group. The study was carried out through the procedure such as, pilot test, pre-test, 8 weeks' experimental treatment, post test, and the experimental treatment was conducted from March 9, 2009 to may 1, 2009 total 16 times, covering 8 weeks, 2 times a week. The singing instruction for the experimental group was constructed constructivism theory based- integrated contents and method while that of comparative group was constructed only with phrase-by phrase methods which is a traditional method.
I quoted the test tool for young children's musical interest and attitudes from the one used for Jung Ae Kyung's study(2003) and modified, supplemented it suitable for this study.
The data was conducted t-test and ANCOVA by SPSS 17.0 program.

The result of the study is as follows;
First, the point of young children's musical interest of the experimental group which conducted constructivism theory-based singing instruction was significantly higher in statistics than that of the comparative group which used only phrase-by-phrase method. Thus, it can be said that constructivism theory-based singing instruction has positive influence on the development of young children's musical interest.
Second, the point of young children's musical attitudes of the experimental group which conducted constructivism theory-based singing instruction was significantly higher in statistics than that of the comparative group which used only phrase-by-phrase method. Thus, it can be said that constructivism theory-based singing instruction has positive influence on the development of young children's musical interest. The experimental group improved more than comparative group in quest, expression, appreciation which are the subordinate factors of musical attitude. Accordingly, the constructivism theory based- singing instruction influenced young children's musical attitudes. That is, the experimental group improved more in quest, expression, appreciation which are the subordinate factors of musical attitude.
Such results reveals that the constructivism theory-based singing instruction is influential on both of the musical interest and attitudes of
young children. And so, such result is the indication that the constructivism theory-based singing instruction could be the effective teaching and learning method for an improvement of young children's musical interest and attitudes.
