정서인식의 명확성과 대인관계문제의 관계 : 인지적 정서조절의 매개효과 = (The) relationships between emotional clarity and interpersonal problems : the mediation effect of cognitive emotion regulation

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 정서인식의 명확성과 인지적 정서조절 및 대인관계문제 간의 관계에 대해서 알아보고, 정서인식의 명확성과 대인관계문제의 관계에서 인지적 정서조절의 두 차원 즉, 적응적인 인지적 정서조절과 부적응적인 인지적 정서조절의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 대학생 419명(남자 186명, 여자 233명)을 대상으로 정서강도 척도, 특질 상위 기분 척도, 인지적 정서조절 전략 척도와 대인관계문제 척도 단축형을 사용하였다.
본 연구의 분석 결과, 정서인식의 명확성과 대인관계문제는 유의미한 부적상관이 나타났고, 정서인식의 명확성과 인지적 정서조절 간의 상관관계에서는 적응적 인지적 정서조절과는 정적상관이, 부적응적 인지적 정서조절과는 부적상관이 나타났다. 인지적 정서조절과 대인관계문제 간의 상관관계에서 적응적 인지적 정서조절과 대인관계문제는 부적상관이, 부적응적 인지적 정서조절과는 정적상관이 나타났다. 또한 정서인식의 명확성과 대인관계문제의 관계에서 인지적 정서조절이 매개효과를 가지는지 확인하였는데 적응적 인지적 정서조절, 부적응적 인지적 정서조절 모두 부분매개효과가 나타났다.
본 연구는 정서의 인지적인 측면에 초점을 맞추어서 대인관계문제와의 관계를 검증하였다는데 의의가 있다. 또한 상담 장면에서 정서인식의 명확성과 적응적인 인지적 정서조절에 대한 치료적 개입이라는 상담의 함의가 있다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 제한점과 향후 연구 방향을 기술하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among emotional clarity, cognitive emotion regulation, and interpersonal problems, and to verify the mediating effect of the cognitive emotion regulation in the relationship between the emotional clarity and interpersonal problems.
For study, the sample of 419 university students(186 men and 233 women) were asked to complete the Affect Intensity Measurement(AIM), the Trait Meta-Mood Scale(TMMS), the Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire(CERQ), and the Short form of the Korean Inventory Interpersonal Problems Circumplex Scale(KIIP-SC).
The results of this study are summarized as follows. Firstly Emotional clarity had negatively correlation with interpersonal problems and maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation, but positively correlation with adaptive cognitive emotion regulation. In the correlation between cognitive emotion regulation and interpersonal problems, interpersonal problems negatively correlates with adaptive cognitive emotion regulation and positively with maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation. Secondly a hierarchical multiple regression was conducted to examine the mediating effect of cognitive emotion regulation in the relationship between emotional clarity and interpersonal problems. The result indicated that both adaptive and maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation had a statistically significant partial mediation effect.
The results of this study are important in revealing the effects of emotional clarity and cognitive emotion regulation to interpersonal problems. Finally, implications and limitations of the current study and the suggestions for future research were discussed.
