현대 여성구두 디자인의 조형성에 관한 연구 : 초현실주의 영향을 중심으로|RISS 상세보기

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to recognize how surrealistic art trend is reflected on the design for modern women's shoes through grasping the way the trend is expressed on female shoes, and to shed new light on the artistic value of the shoes for women through analyzing the figurative features of the design for the women's shoes. This is to suggest one of the ways to review the modern people's rapidly changing structure of mind set, the value of the world of spirit, and living sense. Futhermore, another purpose is to enable the expression of design work to get help from pure art that satisfies basic desire for pursuit of new human sensitivity, and also to practically help the industrial design to create artistic idea and develop higher value-added work.
I searched for the features of surrealistic expression in the new genre of women's shoes as a source of idea for design, and sought to identify the artistic value of them through categorizing them according to figurativeness, and analyzing the results.
The results of the study are as following:
First, surrealistic thinking has a feature of unique idea and its development, which means it broke from classical and rational convention. It is applied to women's shoes, and it expressed the idea and shape going beyond tradition of reasonable thinking and rational development process by denying or dismantling rules. Surrealism has come to express dreams, hallucination, and human instincts, which led to the hallucinative interpretation and expression of art. This is the transposition of consciousness to artistic expression. Automatism and paranoiac critical method was studied in order to express internal subject and these were applied to the extensive range from pure art to the design for women's shoes.
Second, surrealists delivered the emotions impossible in reality and basic thinking via combining of the images of unrealistic shapes, and dismantled the conventional shape of beauty. Their exploring the instinct by surrealistic ideas of irregularity, disorder, and asymmetry resulted in new interpretation of the figurativeness of women's shoes and it was expressed with symbolism and sensitivity in various images.
Third, I found that the features of pure art and the surrealistic expression in the design for women's shoes have the similarity in the whole process that the creation of shape starts from the self consciousness. And it was possibly expected that both are the same idea in the contents side of personal subjects and visual symbolism that elements of shape and the way of expression have.
The design of women's shoes is an extended concept that has the subjective artistic expression of designers in the center of it, going beyond the limited concept of universal shape based on functional tradition, and is being developed into modern art that expresses the impulse of consciousness and unconsciousness. The surrealistic figurative expression of the design for women's shoes is the true development of consciousness and unconsciousness, and performs the function that recovers personal sense of beauty and fantasy which were not able to be discovered because they existed out of consciousness through expressing activity. It is to discover the true identity of self, and help modern people that are experiencing isolation from nature and society feel hope and sensitivity and feel pleasant.
I hope that various experiments with the figurative expression of the design for women's shoes are conducted and touching works are created as works of art, and artistic expression is applied to the entire area of design related with industrial design in order to create new value.
While I conducted the study, I could realized that the theoretical system about the aesthetic side of the design for women's shoes is needed, and the design for women's shoes is the area that we can enhance the possibility of artistic expression in association with figurative art. In addition, I hope that the efforts to create new aesthetic value should proceed through actively exploring and experimenting with creative sense of beauty, and have great impact on the industries relevant to the artistic area.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초현실주의 예술사조가 여성구두 디자인에 어떻게 표현되었는지 파악하고, 여성구두 디자인의 조형적 특성을 분석하여 여성구두의 예술적 가치를 재조명하려는 것이다. 이는 빠르게 변화하는 현대인의 의식구조와 정신세계의 가치, 생활감각을 살펴볼 수 있는 방법 중 하나임을 제시하고자 한 것이다. 나아가 인간감성의 새로움을 추구에 대한 기본적인 욕구를 충족시킬 수 있고, 작품표현에 도움을 주고, 더불어 산업디자인의 고부가가치 창출을 위한 예술적인 발상과 전개에 실질적인 도움을 주고자 함을 목적으로 한다.
디자인 발상 근원으로서의 초현실주의 표현특성을 여성구두에서 찾아보았고 그 조형성에 따라 분류하고 결과를 분석하여 미학적으로 그 가치를 확인하는 시도를 하였다.
연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 초현실주의 사고와 전개과정은 고전적이고 이성적인 인습의 탈피를 의미하며 독특한 발상과 사고전개의 특징을 보인다. 이는 여성구두 디자인에 응용되었고 규칙을 거부하거나 해체하여 기존의 합리적인 사고와 이성적인 전개의 과정을 뛰어넘는 사고와 조형을 표현하였다. 초현실주의는 꿈, 환각, 인간의 본능을 표현하게 되었고 그 결과 환각적인 예술해석과 표현을 하게 되었다. 이는 무의식이 예술표현의 의식 상태로 전위된 것이다. 내재적 주제를 표현하기 위하여 오토마티즘(automatism), 오브제(objet), 데페이즈망(depaysement), 데칼코마니(decalcomanie) 가 연구되었고, 이는 여성구두 디자인에 이르기까지 광범위하게 응용되었다.
둘째, 초현실주의자들은 비현실적인 형상의 이미지의 결합을 통해 현실에서 불가능한 감정, 원초적인 사고를 전달하며 기존의 관습적인 형태미를 해체시키고 불규칙, 무질서, 불완전, 비대칭 등의 초현실주의 사고에 대한 탐구는 여성구두 디자인의 조형성에 대한 새로운 해석을 하게 되었고 다양한 이미지의 형태로 표현되었다.
셋째, 순수예술과 여성구두 디자인의 초현실주의 표현의 특성은 자아를 의식하는 출발점에서 조형을 형성하는 모든 과정이 유사함을 볼 수 있었으며, 개인적인 주제의 내용적인 측면과, 조형요소와 표현방법이 가지는 시각적 상징성에서 동일한 사고임을 예측할 수 있게 하였다.
여성구두 디자인은 기능적 전통을 근거로 보편적 형태의 한정된 개념을 초월하여 디자이너의 주관적 예술성의 표현이 주가 되는 확장된 개념이며, 의식과 무의식의 충동을 표현하는 현대의 예술로 전개되고 있다. 여성구두 디자인의 초현실주의 조형표현은 진정한 무의식의 탐구와 발전이며, 표현의 행위를 통해 의식 밖에 잠재하여 발견할 수 없었던 개인적인 미감과 환상을 회복시키는 기능을 수행한다. 자아의 진정한 정체성을 찾는 것이며 자연과 사회로부터 소외를 경험하고 있는 현대인들에게 희망과 감성을 느끼게 하며 즐거움을 주는 역할이다.
여성구두 디자인의 조형성 표현에 대한 다양한 실험이 이루어져 감동을 주는 작품이 예술작품으로 창조되고, 실용디자인 영역에 예술표현이 적절하게 응용되어 새로운 가치가 창출되길 기대한다.
이번 연구를 진행하며 여성구두 디자인의 미학적 측면에 관한 이론적 체계화가 필요하다는 점을 알 수 있었으며, 여성구두 디자인을 조형예술과 연계하여 예술적 표현의 가능성을 확대시켜나갈 수 있는 분야임을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 창조성을 적극적으로 탐구하고 실험하여 새로운 미적가치를 창조하는 노력이 진행되어야 할 것이며 이는 관련된 산업디자인 영역에 많은 영향을 미치리라 기대한다.
