정신적 장애인을 위한 원예치료 프로그램 분석 = Analysis of horticultural therapy program for the mentally disabled

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In order to analyze the horticultural-therapy program, which was carried out targeting the mental disorder, relevant 559 copies of ‘Confirmation note of Horticultural-Therapy Activity’ submitted for the use of license examination to Korean Horticultural Therapy & Wellbeing Association were used as a tool. It contains 64 horticultural therapists for Level 1 and 524 horticultural therapists for Level 2 from May in 2000 to February in 2008. With the aim of examining difference depending on people covered by the program, license kind and horticulture-therapy activity period in horticulture therapists, χ2(Chi-square) test was conducted on the basis of frequency in each. Data was analyzed by using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science) Win 13.0 program. And, the results are as follows.
As a result of analyzing the horticultural-therapy program, which was carried out targeting the mental disorder, the ‘Art & craft activity’ was the largest with 46.0%. By subject, mentally-retarded person was the largest with 44.1%. And, the number of the program increased in latter period comparing with prior period.
In terms of ‘Growing activity’, the ‘Normal growing’ showed the highest ratio with 74.7%. And the next was ‘Special container growing’ (19.8%) and ‘Garden growing’ (5.5%) in order. By subject, mentally-retarded person was the largest with 46.1%. And, the number of the program increased in latter period comparing with prior period. The activity that the most often conducted in ‘Normal growing’ was ‘Transplanting’ (39.8%), ‘Hydro culture’ (54.3%) in ‘Special container growing’ and ‘Outdoor garden’ (40.1%) in ‘Garden growing’.
In the ‘Art and craft activity’, the ‘Flower decoration’ showed the highest ratio with 37.5%. And the next was ‘Practical item’ (18.6%), ‘Decoration item’ (14.9%) and ‘Craft material making’ (9.0%) in order. By subject, mentally-retarded person was the largest with 42.8%. And, the number of the program increased in latter period comparing with prior period. The activity that the most often conducted in ‘Flower decoration’ was ‘Flower arrangement’ (35.2%), ‘potpourri pocket’ (28.7%) in ‘Practical item’, ‘Christmas decoration item’ (28.6%) in ‘Decoration item’ and ‘making pressed flower’ (34.6%) in ‘Craft material making’.
In the result of ‘Cooking activity’, the activity related to ‘Tea’ was the largest ratio with 33.6%. By subject, mentally-retarded person was the largest with 40.6%. And, the number of the program increased in latter period comparing with prior period.
As a result of ‘Learning activity’, ‘Orientation’ was the largest ratio with 47.6%. By subject, mentally-retarded person was the largest with 43.6%. And, the number of the program increased in latter period comparing with prior period.
In the ‘Outdoor activity’, ‘Excursion’ was the largest ratio with 36.7%. By subject, mentally-retarded person was the largest with 55.6%. And, the number of the program increased in latter period comparing with prior period.
