The purpose of this study is to inquire into the difference in the career self-efficacy and the career barriers depending on the independent variables (gender, age, academic socioeconomic status, whether or not job occupational experience, and the economic-life level) of trainees for the Vocational Training Institutes, and to analyze the relationship among these variables.
It showed a relatively high level(p<.01) in more than 51 years old>31-40 years old>21-30 years old>41-50 years old>less than 20 years old as for age, in university graduate>college graduate> high-school graduate>middle-school graduate as for acdemic career, and in persons with experience than without experience as for job life, and the level depending on the economic-life degree was shown to be higher in order of middle.
Second, the male trainees were shown to be perceiving the career barriers more highly than female trainees among trainees of the Vocational Training Institutes, and each was shown to be high in less than 20 years>31-40 years old>41-50 years old>21-30 years old> more than 51 years old, in middle - school graduate>high-school graduate>college graduate>university graduate as for academic career, in persons without experience as for job life, and in order of lower class> middle-lower class>upper class> middle class>middle-upper class as for economic-life level as for economic-life level.
Third, the career self-efficacy and the career barriers showed the very highly negative correlation (P<.0.1) by background variable of the whole.
Training Institues, who are experiencing the difficulties in choosing or performing the career, and a devised program aiming to enhance self-efficacy, together with the virtually technical development, can be utilized as the basic data in a bid to help with having the expectation of the exact result, to teach a method of setting up a goal, and to enable the preparation of a method of overcoming the communication skill or barriers necessary for the successfully job life.
