The Meta-cognitive concept and the Self-directed learning has many similar sides, therefore we studied cognitive and psychological effects that has on the learner in math class using meta-cognitive learning strategy. We used the meta-cognitive self-Speech that can be used in the Self-directed learning situation to see it's effects on a math class of third grade in middle school. We got these results.
A class using the Meta-cognitive learning strategy has significant effects on improving the student's meta-cognitive skills. Before the test, it was 26.67 and after the test, it was 29.83. This was a significant change.
