리더십 증진 프로그램이 초등학생의 리더십 생활기술과 성취동기에 미치는 효과 = The Effect of Leadership Development Program on the Leadership Life Skill and Achievement Motivation of Elementary School Students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 리더십 증진 프로그램이 초등학생들의 리더십 생활기술 및 성취동기 향상에 미치는 효과를 검증하는데 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다.
<연구문제 1> 리더십 증진 프로그램이 초등학생의 리더십 생활기술 향상에 유의미한 효과가 있는가?
<연구문제 2> 리더십 증진 프로그램이 초등학생의 성취동기에 향상에 유의미한 효과가 있는가?
본 연구는 대전광역시 M초등학교의 3학년 6개 반 아동 192명을 대상으로 리더십 생활기술과 성취동기 검사지로 사전검사를실시하였다. 본 연구자가 담임을 맡고 있는 학급을 실험집단으로 하고 실험집단과 사전검사 결과가 동질한 학급을 통제집단으로 구성하였다. 실험집단에는 재량시간과 특별활동 시간을 이용하여 주 2회 5주간 총 10회기의 리더십 증진 프로그램을 실시하였고, 통제집단은 사전·사후 검사만 실시하고 아무런 처치를 하지 않았다.
이 연구에 사용된 검사 도구는 진행래(2006)의 리더십 생활기술 검사지와 기현주(2004)의 성취동기 검사지이다. 결과처리는 SPSS win 11.0으로 t-검증을 실시하였고, 질적 연구 자료로 내담자의 매 회기별 소감문과 상담자의 관찰 내용을 기술하였다.
이 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 리더십 증진 프로그램은 초등학생의 리더십 생활기술 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 리더십 생활기술 하위영역인 학습능력, 의사결정, 집단활동 영역에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다.
둘째, 리더십 증진 프로그램은 초등학생의 성취동기 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 성취동기의 하위영역인 과업지향성, 자신감, 미래지향성 영역에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다.
이상의 연구 결과를 통해 내린 결론은 리더십 증진 프로그램은 초등학생의 리더십 생활기술과 성취동기 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있다는 것이다. 따라서 이 프로그램은 초등학교 현장에서 중학년 아동들에게 리더십 생활기술과 성취동기 향상에 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.
앞으로 리더십 증진 프로그램을 좀 더 일반화하기 위해 프로그램 및 검사도구의 개발, 적용 대상과 적용 기간, 변인 통제 등 후속 연구가 요구된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of the leadership development program for leadership life skill and achievement motivation of elementary school students. To achieve this purpose, the following research questions were established.
1. Leadership development program will help improve the leadership life skill of elementary school students
2. Leadership development program will help improve the achievement motivation of elementary school students
The subject group consists of 2 classes from the 3th grade of 6 classes at M elementary school in Daejeon. Pretest was conducted to identify the similarity in the leadership life skill and achievement motivation between the experimental group and the control group before this experiment. Pretest showed that there were not significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in the leadership life skill and achievement motivation.
For the experimental group, total 10 sessions of leadership development program were applied twice a week for 5 weeks, while there's no special treatment to the control group.
A leadership life skill measurement used in this research is a leadership life skill of Jin Hang-rae(2006). And achievement motivation measurement of Ki Hyun-Joo(2004) was used in order to measure achievement motivation. To verify the effect of this program, SPSS win(11.0) was used for quantitative analysis. And opinion documents after the program for each session, research of students behavior was used for qualitative analysis.
Some of the remarkable results from the test were as follows;
First, leadership development program had positive effects on leadership life skill of elementary school students. There were meaningful differences in the sub-field as learning skill, decision-making skill, skills in working with groups.
Second, leadership development program had positive effects on achievement motivation of elementary school students.
In conclusion, the leadership development program is shown to be very effective in improving leadership life skill and achievement motivation of elementary school students. Accordingly, this program can help to develop leadership and achievement motivation
For further generation of effects from leadership development, continued research is needed for the development of a program and a measurement, applicable objects, applicable terms, changeable control and so on.
