This survey is conducted to firstly, identify the difference between the types of attitude towards sex and sexual behaviours according to the levels of internet addiction among high school students. Secondly, to develop the prevention and prevetion management of intenet addction and to provide the necessary data for enhancing sex education for late teenagers.
The target of audience of this survey was 1st and 2nd year high school students who are attending two high schools located in north Kyoung-gi do, and the period of accumulating data was from 1st June to 20th June in 2008.
The levels of internet addiction was measured by three different methods. Firstly the levels of internet addciction has been measured by self-examination of internet addiction, called K-Scale, which is the program developed by National Internet Development Agency Korea. Secondly, types of attitude towards sex was mearused by Cho Ami's tools (2000) of scoring attitude towards sex. Lastly, sexual behaviour was measured by the tool which is developed by Lee SiHung (1998).
The Program SPSS 14.0 has been used to interpret the data. Collected data was analyzed by frequency and percentage, principle component analysis, χ2 test, One-way ANOVA and Kruskal-Wallis H. And when there is subtle difference of ANOVA was noticed, Schefee Test has been used afterwards.
The results is followed below:
1) The survey shows the'levels of internet addiction among high school students', 87.7% of students belong to the 'normal internet user group', 10.2% of students belong to the 'light internet addiction group' and 2.2% of students belong to the 'heavy internet addiction group'.
2) The difference between 'gender of general characteristics' and 'period of time of using internet' is parallel but there is no any subtle difference between the year of a class and their academic results.
3) The result of types of 'attitude towards sex' is that 53.5% of students show 'permissible type' of attitude, 43.6% of students show 'conservative type' and 2.9% of students show 'pleasure seeking type' of attitude.
4) 'Students attitude toward sex' show the different between gender; boys have more permissible type of attitude and girls have more conservative type of attitude, but there is any parrallel results in this statistics between 'the year of a class' and 'the period of time using internet'.
5) The most frequent sexual behaviour among high school students is masterbation and the second most frequent beahviour is accessing the pornography website and the third most frequent behaviour is having a physical contact.
6) There is parralle difference of sexual behaviour of teenagers according to gender, the year of a class and the academic result, the second year of students and studens who have low academic result have shown more sexual behaviour than gilrs and students have everage academic result.
7) Students show the different attitude towards sex in terms of the level of internet addiction, students who belong to 'normal internet user group' show 'permissible type' of attitude, students who belong to 'light internet addiction group' also show 'permissible type' of attitude even though it show noticeable increase up to 71.4%. However, students who belong to 'heavy internet addiction' show the attitude which belong to 'pleasure seeking' attitude.
8) There also is difference of sexual behaviour in terms of the internet addiction between the groups of users, students who belong to 'heavy internet addiction' group show more tendency of sexual behaviour than students who belong to 'normal internet user group' and 'light internet addiction group'.
This survey shows the fact that high school students show more tendency of permissible type of attitude and more frequent sexual behaviour in terms of the levels of internet addiction. The more serious addicted to internet there is rapid increase of sexual behaviour.
