The recognition of styles of people has been changing with the development of media. The young people who grew up with computers are called the ‘Game Generation’ and are recognized to be clearly different from the older generation. They are not learners from childhood who used to “eat azaleas, play in the water and chase squirrels”. Despite this apparent change of learners, the style of learning is still meager in the Chinese education.
The question starts from what is the best efficient method of learning and teaching which could lead interesting and participation of ‘Game Generation’ and decided UCC methods as the suitable methods for learners who have been changed in their growth environment and in their learning and knowing styles.
Especially, UCC as learning and teaching of media is more focused on the performance of students as a catalyst instead only focus on using of media. To bring a better systematic perform, this research applies task-based language teaching and blended learning which is combined education with online and offline.
Chapter I address the purpose of learning and teaching Chinese and the necessity of the research produced by UCC. The research targets middle school and high school students. It addresses how to study learning and teaching Chinese and the learning model by considering the beginners to the medial learners through production of UCC.
Chapter II addresses the definition and type of UCC and its effects in foreign language education and the central task of learning and teaching language as the standard of this model.
Chapter III addresses usage of UCC as learning and teaching and infrastructure as media. First, it researched the behavior of UCC usage of teachers and students, the production status, UCC production by language training, and learning case of the media seen as a leverage situation. Second, it provided UCC using the web bulletin design model as learning and teaching of media to use based on Cyworld and presented to the new Web feedback.
Chapter Ⅳ addresses the procedures of the present model that can be used in actual classrooms, which presented specific models by separating Text, which is relatively easy to produce mixed media, with each other for personal activities, Audio, Image UCC, and Video UCC, which is complicated and time consuming.
UCC is a very attractive medium of learning and teaching method to help develop listening, speaking, reading, writing and communication skills using the text, audio, image, video media and multimedia devices that add large value to the development of web service to build and easily induce the ignition of the learner’s participation. Despite these benefits, however, there is no research in the field of Chinese education because the UCC concept is a new phase.
Even though studying of foreign languages and other subject which already have been researched, most of researches use UCC as a media. Therefore, I am looking forward to people that develop learning and teaching of Chinese and introduce the learning model through production of UCC.
