홀리스틱적 Eurhythmics 음악교육 지도법 : 통합교과 ‘즐거운 생활’ 연구 = A Method of Music Education for Holistic Eurhythmics : Focused on Integrated Subject of 'Pleasant Life' in Elementary School

국문 초록 (Abstract)

오늘날 물질주의적 세계관이 팽배해 짐에 따라 자연을 정복의 대상으로 생각하는 경향이 만연되면서 학교의 황폐화 현상과 청소년 문제 등의 학교 현장에서 많은 문제점들이 발생되고 있다. 이러한 문제점들은 인성 교육과 도덕 교육, 기초 교육 등 여러 분야의 교육이 조화와 균형을 이루지 못하고 있기 때문이라고 인식하여, 그 해결책으로 1980년대부터 ‘홀리스틱 교육(Holistic Education)’이 제안되고 있다. 전인적 교육을 강조하는 홀리스틱 교육은 내면의 세계와 신체, 영혼과의 전반적인 ‘관계성’에 초점을 둔 교육이다. 한편, ‘유리드믹스(Eurhythmics)’는 리듬이 음악의 가장 기초가 되며, 음악이 될 수 있는 모든 리듬의 근본은 인간 신체의 자연적인 리듬에서 찾을 수 있다는 전제 속에 기반을 둔 E. J. Dalcroze가 개발한 음악교육 접근법이다. 유리드믹스는 몸의 감각계, 감정의 영향, 마음의 기억, 창의적인 기능 이 모두가 적절히 조화될 수 있는 방법으로, 그 어떤 것으로부터도 방해 받지 않은 ‘몸(body), 마음(mind), 영혼(spirit)'의 내면적인 대화를 이루고 이를 통해 학생의 연주의 수준은 물론 통찰력과 창의력이 개발 시키는 교육 방법론이다. 본 연구에서는 홀리스틱 교육법과 유리드믹스 교육법 사이의 연계성을 분석하여 홀리스틱적 -vi-유리드믹스 음악 교육법을 통해 실제 현장에서 활용 가능한 초등학교 저학년 중심의 통합교과 연구를 수행한다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하고자 다음과 같은 세 가지 방법으로 연구를 진행한다. 첫째, 본 연구는 내용에 접근하기 위한 방법으로 국내에 소개된 홀리스틱과 유리드믹스 교육에 관한 문헌조사를 기초로 하여 이들 교육법을 이론적으로 접근하여 소개하고, 이들 교육법을 비교, 분석, 종합, 정리한다. 둘째, 본 연구는 정리된 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 초등학교 제 7차 통합교과 ’즐거운 생활‘ 교육과정을 분석한다. 셋째, 본 연구에서는 홀리스틱적 유리드믹스 음악 지도 교육법이 현장에서 적용될 수 있도록 하기 위해 초등학교 1, 2학년 ‘즐거운 생활’ 교과서를 중심으로 한 학습 지도안-vii-을 연구한다. 특별히 본 연구에서는 ‘즐거운 생활’교과의 학년별 대 주제를 중심으로 ‘유리드믹스 교수방법론(Eurhythmics Games)’과 몸, 마음, 영혼을 통합하여 교육하는 홀리스틱적 유리드믹스 통합 예술 교육 방법을 통한 학습 지도안을 제안한다. 본 연구를 통해 최종적으로 제안된 홀리스틱적 유리드믹스 음악 교육법을 통해 감성이 메마른 이 시대를 살아가는 초등학생들에게 통합적 예술교육이 효과적으로 가르쳐 지기를 기대한다.

In a world where materialism prevails, youth problems, such as emotional instability, emotional deprivation, or melancholia, in schools are getting worse than anytime in history. These problems are generally seen as the result of the unbalance among various areas of education, such as moral education, basic education, or humanistic education. Having been famous since 1980's, holistic education was first introduced as the solution to the educational unbalance problem. Holistic education is a philosophy of education based on the premise that each person finds identity, meaning, and purpose in life through connections to the community, to the natural world, and to spiritual values such as compassion and peace. Holistic education aims to call forth from people an intrinsic reverence for life and a passionate love of learning.
On the other hand, eurhythmics education is an approach to music education that was devised by Emile Jaques-Dalcroze. This method utilizes the expression of physical movement and musical rhythms to reinforce the concepts which affect the student’s performance and retention of musical basics. Eurhythmics education focuses on connecting body, mind and spirit through music and enhances a student's insight and creativity as well as the level of play.
In this paper, we analyze the relation between holistic education and eurhythmics education and perform a research based on the integrated subject of the elementary lower grades.
To achieve the purpose of the research, we specifically take the following steps.
First, to build a firm theoretical foundation about the two educational methods, we analyze various research materials. With the help of the analysis, we study the relation between holistic education and eurhythmics education.
Second, based on the theoretical foundation, we analyze the holistic educational methods found in 'Pleasant Life' textbook of the first and second grades of elementary school.
Finally, we propose a practical lesson plan for holistic eurhythmics musical integrated education focused on 'Pleasant Life' textbook of the first and second grades of elementary school. Especially, in this paper, we propose a lesson plan using the concept of the five steps of eurhythmics games and Holistic eurhythmics integrated artistic education methods, which integrate body, mind, spirit.
