The number of siblings has no effect on children's consumer activities.
Children's consumer activities appears to be affected by demographical variables. Children's consumer activities appear to be more proper when the parents' educational background is higher, parents' occupation is more stable, the standard of living is higher.
The result shows the fact that the level of children's consumer activity is high when the level of parents' consumer activity is high. Therefore, it is important for parents to foster children's level of consumer activity by making their children experience consumer activities in various situations through consumer education.
Parents' consumer activities have greater influences on children's consumer activities than demographical variables. The physical environment where the children are located also has an influence, which is only trivial. That is to say, in order to foster the level of children's consumer activities, it is necessary to improve parents' consumer activities.
Home is an important institution for children to learn the role of reasonable consumer. Therefore, what parents do is influential. Parents should realize the importance of consumer education. Also, systematic program for parents to educate their children needs to be developed. Educational program related to consumer's right, role and consciousness also needs to be prepared. Also, home education for children's financial management and post consumer activities should be done in order to help children understand the importance of resources and have a habit of reflecting after they spent money. It takes time to improve the level of children's consumer activities. Both home and school should give cooperated efforts to direct children. Children should have more opportunity to have various experience as a consumer. Therefore, the consumer education in our society should be improve both qualitatively and quantitatively.
