    The purpose of this study was to investigate the structure of related variables of children's linguistic ability, parent's social economical status, physical surrounding of literacy environment at home, and application of literacy environment with parent.
    The research questions of this study are as follows:
    ◎ what is the effect of directly and indirectly of environment variables to cause of children's linguistic ability?
    The path model carried out a path analysis in AMOS 7.0, then tested statistical significance of each regression weight for finding fit between real material and the path model in significant level .05. After verification of model fit, it was analyzed that parent's social economical status, physical environment of literacy environment at home, and application of literacy environment with parent, and the effect of directly and indirectly of environment variables of children's linguistic ability.
    The study of object were 230 pairs of 4~5 year old children with their parent who were involved in 6 childcare centers in dea-gu and kyeong-buk area. the date was collected to through questionnaire of children's linguistic ability test and literacy environment at home.
    Results found in this study were as follows:
    First, parent's social economical status influenced children's linguistic ability directly. And parent's social economical status was reached linguistic ability to mediate physical surrounding and application of literacy environment at home indirectly.
    Second, parent's social economical status influenced physical surrounding and application of literacy environment at home directly. And parent's social economical status was reached application of literacy environment to mediate physical surrounding of literacy environment indirectly.
    Third, physical surrounding of literacy environment at home didn't influence children's linguistic ability directly.
    Fourth, application of literacy environment at home influenced affirmative children's linguistic ability
    In conclusion, parent's social economical status and application of literacy environment were ascertained the variable to cause of linguistic ability directly. And at this process, physical surrounding and application of literacy environment at home were ascertained the variable of mediation to cause of linguistic ability indirectly.
