The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of emotion-reaction on children achievement motivation according to their Goal-orientation, for 95 elementary students(5th grade) in Seoul and Kyungi area selected the task on goal-orientation and identified effect of emotion-reaction on children achievement motivation according to their Goal-orientation through the experiment.
The results of this study are as follows.
First, there was significant difference the effect of Emotion-reaction on child's task interest after failure. That is, encouragement reaction group' score is the highest on task interest, while punitive reaction group's score is the lowest on task interest.
Second, there was significant difference the effect of goal-orientation on child's task interest after failure. Learning goal group is higher than performance goal group on task interest score.
Third, there was significant difference and significant tendency the effect of emotion-reaction on children achievement motivation according to their Goal-orientation after failure.
For further study, implication and of this study were discussed.
