내담자의 자기대상욕구와 내담자가 지각한 상담관계 = Clients' selfobject needs and their perception of the counseling relationship

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 내담자의 자기대상욕구가 상담 관계에서 내담자에게 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국판 자기대상욕구 질문지를 타당화하고 자기대상욕구가 내담자가 지각한 상담관계에 미치는 영향을 경험적으로 살펴보고자 하였다.
연구1에서는 자기대상에 대한 갈망이나 회피를 측정하는 한국판 자기대상욕구질문지를 번안하고 타당화 하였다. 요인분석 결과 자기대상갈망과 자기대상회피의 두 상위요인 밑에 반영, 이상화1, 이상화2, 제2의 나, 반영회피, 이상화회피, 제2의 나 회피의 7개 하위요인이 도출되었고 척도의 신뢰도도 높은 수준이었다. 7요인 모형은 확인적 요인분석 결과 비교적 양호한 적합도를 나타내었다. 또 자기대상갈망은 자기애적 성격 질문지 및 내현적 자기애 질문지와 정적 상관을 보였으며, 자기대상회피는 자기애적 성격 질문지와는 부적 상관을, 내현적 자기애 질문지와는 정적 상관을 보였다. 사회적 선희도 질문지는 일부 요인과 정적 상관을 보였다. 이러한 결과는 이 척도가 성인의 자기대상욕구의 측정도구로 신뢰롭게 사용될 수 있음을 보여주었다.
연구2에서는 자료수집 당시 상담이 진행 중인 내담자들을 대상으로 연구1에서 개발한 자기대상욕구 질문지를 활용하여, 내담자의 자기대상욕구 특성과 상담관계 변인인 내담자의 상담자에 대한 내현적 대인반응 및 내담자가 지각한 작업동맹의 관계를 검증하였다. 그 결과 내담자가 자기대상갈망이 클수록 상담자에 대해 긍정적 대인반응을 나타내며 자기대상회피가 클수록 부정적 대인반응을 나타내었다. 내담자의 자기대상욕구와 내담자가 지각한 작업동맹의 관계에서는 자기대상갈망이 클수록 내담자가 지각한 동맹수준이 높았으며 자기대상회피가 클수록 동맹수준이 낮았다.
연구3에서는 연구2에서 살펴본 상담자와의 관계에서의 내담자의 내현적 대인반응 특성이 핵심갈등관계주제 방법을 통해 평가한 대인관계특성 및 내담자의 자기대상욕구 특성과 일치하는지를 살펴보았다. 연구 결과는 이들이 대체로 일치하였으나 일부 불일치하는 결과도 있음을 보여주었다. 이러한 결과에 관하여 의식적 관계표상과 암묵적 관계표상의 차이와 같은 몇 가지 가능한 설명이 제안되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The orientation to selfobject needs in adult has been known as an important personality variable to generate individual differences in the counseling relationship. In this study, attempts are made to answer the questions including how adult selfobject needs of clients are related to their perception of the counseling relationships such as clients' covert iterpersonal reactions to counselor and clients' rated working alliance, and clients' core conflictual relationship themes.
In study 1, K-SONI(Korean Selfobject Need Inventory) was traslated, modified, and validated. Seven factors such as mirroring, idealization 1, idealization2, alter ego, the avoidance of mirroring, the avoidance of idealization, the avoidance of alter ego, and two higher rank factors, hunger for selfobject and avoidance of selfobject, were identified through factor analysis. Appropriate levels of reliability and validity were established for the K-SONI. The result suggests that the K-SONI is a reliable instrument to measure adults' selfobject needs.
In study 2, 108 clients in counseling institutions participated to study the relationship among clients' selfobject needs, their covert interpersonal reactions to counselor, and client rated working alliance scores. The results of study2 provided support for the importance of clients' selfobject needs from the angle of self psychology.
In study 3, the characteristic features of the response to Core Conflictual Relationship Themes (CCRT) among different types of clients was related to their covert interpersonal reactions to counselor and their selfobject needs. Most part of the result was in accordance with the expectations from self psychology, while some discrepancies were identified.
Finally, a brief summary and general discussion is presented.
