The actions can be reflected and summarized into 3Ns:
● new,
● now and
● network in the contemporary society.
Moreover , as we go into the 21 century, environmental pollution and unhealthy surroundings have a direct influence on educational outcomes and should be monitored carefully.
The research into ecology and childrens' education programs should envigorise bodies, minds and spirits in order to irreversibly revive the environment and the future.
The research proposes to see how the natural experience of woodwork improves (affects) the childs' scientific problem-solving abilities and scientific attitudes.
This explanation will not apply to all cases.
To verify the research above, 2 classes of 4 year olds (twenty children) were selected:
Bomon Kindergarten and Kimyeong Kindergarten in Jeonju provided subjects.
An experimental group from B kindergarten comprised of 20 infants (11males and 9 females) and a control group from K kindergarten were selected, also comprising 20 childs' (10males and 10 females).
A pre-test measuring the natural experience of woodwork was given to the subjects, that is, 20 infants (11males and 9 females) who were placed in the experimental subject group.
A control group comprised of a pretest-posttest experimental group instead of the natural woodwork activity.
After the treatment , collected data was analyzed with correlation analysis and ANOVA using SPSS 15.0 (win statistics program).
The results were as follows:
First,
The activity was good for the childs' scientific problem-solving ability. There was a positive effect.
In components of the scientific problem-solving ability, the activity was influenced by the discovery of (any) new problems, representations, ideas / suggestions, applications and the conclusion of solving problems.
Second,
This activity proved to improve the childs' scientific attitude / approach to solve problems.
There was a positive effect.
An element of the approach indicated that the activity positively influenced curiosity, attitude, forthrightness, openness, critical power, patience and cooperation.
This study set no limits on woodwork activities and we came to a conclusion that the children's power of observation and interest or concern was highly influenced.
Lastly
As the childrens' teachers get out of traditional teaching methods, their development and interest is piqued. Children were more interested in the subject matter and accordingly, more curious.
