교과중심 진로교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 자아존중감과 진로성숙도에 미치는 효과 = The Effects of Subject-Matters Based Career Education Program on Self-Esteem and Career Maturity of Elementary School Students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 교과중심 진로교육 프로그램의 적용이 초등학교 4학년 학생의 자아존중감과 진로성숙도에 어떠한 효과를 미치는가에 대해 알아보는데 목적이 있다.
위의 연구 목적을 기초로 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다.
가설1. 교과중심 진로교육 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단의 자아존중감은 프로그램에 참여하지 않은 통제집단의 자아존중감보다 더 의미있게 높을 것인가?
가설2. 교과중심 진로교육 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단의 진로성숙도는 프로그램에 참여하지 않은 통제집단의 진로성숙도보다 더 의미있게 높을 것인가?
가설3. 교과중심 진로교육 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단의 자아존중감은 사전검사보다 사후검사에서 더 의미있게 높을 것인가?
가설4. 교과중심 진로교육 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단의 진로성숙도는 사전검사보다 사후검사에서 더 의미있게 높을 것인가?
본 연구의 두 집단은 자아존중감 및 진로성숙도의 사전검사 점수에서 유의미한 차이가 없는 동질적인 집단이다. 위의 연구 문제를 해결하기 위하여 대구광역시 소재 D초등학교 4학년 학생 50명을 연구 대상으로 선정하여, 한 집단을 실험집단으로 다른 한 집단을 통제집단으로 각각 25명씩 할당 하였다.
이렇게 선정된 연구 대상의 실험집단에게 사전검사와 사후검사 사이에 12차시의 교과중심 진로교육 프로그램을 실시하였다. 여기서 독립변인은 교과중심 진로교육 프로그램의 투입이며, 그에 따른 종속변인은 자아존중감과 진로성숙도의 향상으로 설정하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 도구로는 최보가와 전귀연(1993)이 Coopersmith(1967)등의 연구를 참조하여 개발한 ‘자아존중감 척도’와 안창규(1996)가 Super & Holland(1985)의 이론에 입각하여 개발한 ‘진로성숙도 척도’를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 실험·통제집단별로 분류하여 각 집단간 평균 차의 유의도를 확인하기 위하여 t-test를 적용하였다.
위와 같은 과정을 통해서 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 교과중심 진로교육 프로그램은 초등학교 4학년 학생의 자아존중감 향상에 유의한 효과가 있다. 하위변인별 분석에 따르면 일반적 자아와 사회적 자아의 두 변인에서 집단간에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 교과중심 진로교육 프로그램은 초등학교 4학년 학생의 진로성숙도 향상에 유의한 효과가 있다. 하위변인별 분석에 따르면 진로지향성, 직업의 이해, 자율성의 변인에서 집단간에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다
그러므로 본 교과중심 진로교육 프로그램은 초등학교 4학년 학생의 자아존중감과 진로성숙도의 향상에 효과가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of a subject-matters based career education program effects the self-esteem and career maturity of the 4th grade students in elementary school.
I set the following aims based on the purpose above.
Aim 1 Would the level of self-esteem of the experimental group be higher than that of the control group significantly?
Aim 2 Would the level of career maturity of the experimental group be higher than that of the control group significantly?
Aim 3 Would the level of self-esteem of the experimental group be higher in post-test than in pre-test significantly?
Aim 4 Would the level of career maturity of the experimental group be higher in post-test than in pre-test significantly?
The two groups involved in this research are homogeneous. For the research, I chose the 50 students who are in the 4th grade of the D elementary school in Daegu. I divide them into two groups, the first 25 students as the experimental group and the second 25 students as the control group.
I applied 12 periods of subject-matters based career education program to the experimental group. Here, the independent figure is the input of subject-matters based career education program and the following dependent figure is the degree of enhancement of self-esteem and career maturity.
The measuring tools used in this study are the index of self-esteem developed by Choi Bo-ga and Jeon Gui-yeon based on Coopersmith (1967)'s research and the index of career maturity referring to the theory of Super & Holland (1985) by Ahn Chang-gyu.
The results are as follows.
First, the subject-matters based career education program has significant effect on the enhancement of the 4th grade students self-esteem. According to the analysis of the sub-variables, the groups have significant difference in the general self-esteem and social self-esteem.
Second, the subject-matters based career education program has significant effect on the enhancement of the 4th grade students career maturity. According to the analysis of the sub-variables, the groups have significant difference in the career-directivity, career-comprehension, and self-regulation.
Therefore, the subject-matters based career education program enhances the self-esteem and career maturity of the 4th grade elementary school students.
