This study aimed at finding out a method for social welfare intervention in the aid projects of education welfare investment priority area by analyzing variables having some affecting on the students' participating rate in the programs of aid project of education welfare investment priority area.
To achieve this purpose, it surveyed the subjects of 184 students in three middle schools, who were participating in the programs of the aid projects of education welfare investment priority area in Dae-Gu Metropolitan City. The results from the analyzed findings on the survey were as follows :
First, the order from high to low for the participating rate in the aid projects of education welfare investment priority area shows as follows: educational program, financial assistance program, emotional and cultural program, mental program.
The result of which program in the aid project of education welfare investment priority area is more helpful is in order below : educational program, financial assistance program, emotional and cultural program, mental program.

The result of which program in the aid project of education welfare investment priority area is more loved to the participants is in order below : financial assistance program, emotional and cultural program, educational program, mental program.
Second, among affecting factors on participating in aid project of education welfare investment priority area, male students felt higher in the social supports than female students. And the third year students felt higher in family-supporting than the second year students, and those who felt themselves economically poor had higher self-respect than others in conscious level of domestic economy.
The students who were experienceing this aid projects for two years in a row had higher self-respect and those who responded that good education was just a little important also had higher sense of alienation than others.
Third, in the matter of participating rate, the students who felt themselves economically poor took part in the projects with higher rate than others.
Fourth, among the four factors, sense of alienation, family-supporting, social supports, self-respect, just the former three factors exept self -respet factor turned out to be meaningful statistically.
The findings showed the more sense of alienation was decreased, the higher the participating rate rose. The factors of both social supports and family-supporting had the same result. But the self-respect factor didn't make any meaningful difference.
Based on this study, the suggestions for how to increase the participating rate in the aid projects of education welfare investment priority area are as follows:
First, a new method to decrease students' sense of alienation should be practiced from the recruiting step. And some vocabularies that would cause sense of alienation should be avoided in the process of aid projects.
Second, a specific program which can expand its service to students' siblings and parents as well as students themselves should be introduced to procure students' family-supporting.
Third, the development of a program enabling teacher and all the students in a school to experience themselves and to be informed is required in order to obtain social supports.
Finally, the development of a variety of evaluation methos should be done to increase the participating rate in the aid projects of education welfare investment priority area. Also, more studies surveying various other factors will be followed except sense of alienation, family-supporting, social supports.
