The purpose of this study was to investigate friendship satisfaction, interpersonal relationship disposition in on-line and off-line by sex.
The subjects of this study were 402 male/female highschool students in K-city. The research data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed by frequency, percentile, mean, standard deviation, t-test.
Major findings were as follfws :
1. For Korean highschool student, internet functioned as the field of interpersonal relationship.
2. The friendship satisfaction showed differences according to sex.
Female students tended to be more satisfied than male students in off-line, but male students tended to be more satisfied than female students through the internet.
3. As the result of investigating the difference in the interpersonal relations disposition according sex, there did not show any significant difference through the internet.
Because of small sample, the findings of this study have limitation to be generalized.
Despite that limitation, these findings will be useful as basic data for the study about the highschool students´ friendship satisfaction, interpersonal relationship disposition in on-line and off-line.
