Research on the Effect of Training Program for Parents-Child Conversational Method on Parental sense of Effectiveness and Child breeding Attitude

First of all, it is necessary to do comprehensive, systematic and schematic parental education at a level of preschool so that order that the parents having children in their infancy carry out their effective parental role through smooth communication in their relations with children. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of parental education program for communication training on parental sense of effectiveness and child-breeding attitude. According to such research purpose, this research set up its issues as follows:
First, what effect does parental education program centering on conversational method on parental sense of effectiveness?
Second, what effect does parental education program centering on conversational method on child-breeding attitude?
For this purpose, this research selected 60 parents whose children are going to D kindergarten located Guri-si, Gyeonggi-do as its survey target and this research placed 30 people in experimental group and another 30 people in control group in consideration of the wanted period for participation in the program, size of the group and general characteristics of the surveyed. For substantial experiment, this research organized parental education program centering on communication training through the consideration of literature and preceding research on communication training part among STEP Programs and conducted the program for parents belonging to experimental group over a total of 6 periods [one period including 150minutes a week]. Testing tools are criteria of parental sense of effectiveness and their child-breeding attitude, and this research conducted pre-examination and post-examination on parents of the two groups and their children.
For data handling, statistical analysis was done through the t-test in SPSS/Window 10.0.
The research result is as follows: First, the parental education program centering on conversational method always has an effect on promotion of the sense of parental effectiveness. Second, the parental education program centering on conversational method has an effect on child-breeding attitude. In addition, in the result of content analysis, it was found that the participants in this experiment mostly showed a positive response to the whole process of the program and its effect.

Considering the above mentioned results, the parental education program centering on conversational method can be concluded to have an effect on the promotion of the parental sense of effectiveness and their child-breeding attitude.
Thus, the implications of this research are as follows:
First, this research could be the base for kindergarten's introduction and execution of this parental education as the one which examined the effect of parental education in a kindergarten.
Second, this parental education is organized in the form of group counseling, so it is differentiated from the existing parental education in the form of lecturing for a large group.
Third, it will be a guide for effective parental roles through the enhancement of parental sense of effectiveness and positive change in child-breeding attitude.
Fourth, it is a support system at a level of school for parents, and it also has an positive meaning at a level of lifelong education and continuing education .
Fifth, on the basis of favorable relationship between parents and child in the family and smooth communication training, the children at a kindergarten can be equipped with a base for desirable personal relations in there and their maladaptation could be prevented.
