다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Surrealism which tried to study and express about infinite unconsciousness of human being was influenced by theories of Freud and Jung and Dadaism. Futhermore, it was an important turning-point of fine arts in 20th century as looking the way of direct approach into the unconsciousness territory.
Salvador Dali was a representative artist exactly corresponded with ideal and purpose of the Surrealism. His unique eye-vision and imagination made him participate in the surrealism group and took the lead of the Surrealism. The reason that I focus on Dali is that his expressions, dream, illusion, and religious images of unconsciousness are related to Surrealism. Automatisme he used causes catharsis during the process transferring his extravagant notions and madness into a canvas. This is a kind of instrument and means to purify his mind. His creative activity was finally occupied in evidences about the inner world of human being. Moreover he tried to express personal experiences and accept differences from that and study more exact self-realization and self-identifier.
Like this, these inventive active arts has makes human being face up to his/her desire, wound, and wish through the conscientization of unconsciousness. These act naturally helps healing and is important portion in the Art Therapy.
These days, Art Therapy makes a remarkable growth of studies based on the theories of Freud and Jung. The personal unconsciousness theory of Frued is connected to the art therapy through free-association. The group unconsciousness and the archtype are expanded into the art therapy territory through mandala and active mental images.
This study aim at analyzing essential elements of art works through Freud and Jung's theories and finding the reasons from the view of art therapy and, at the end, presenting frames of art therapy theory based on those main causes. In other words, the purpose of this thesis is considering to find out guides which can be applied into the field of the art therapy through ways of creation effectively functioned on projection on consciousness and art works.
Lastly, I hope this study is a help to indicate theoretical proprieties for practical and technical use through understanding mental conflicts and analyzing dream, illusion, and religious images of Dali' work.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

인간의 무한한 무의식세계에 관심을 가지고 이를 탐구하고 표현하고자 한 초현실주의는 다다이즘, 그리고 프로이트와 융의 이론에 많은 영향을 받았다. 프로이트와 융의 이론에 정신적 근거를 두고 이를 가장 잘 수용하고 표현한 사조인 초현실주의는 직접적으로 무의식의 세계에 접근했다는 측면에서 볼 때 20세기 미술의 중요한 전환점이었다.
이런 초현실주의의 이상과 목적에 부합하는 초현실주의의 대표 작가로 살바도르 달리를 들 수 있다. 그의 독특한 시각과 상상력은 곧 초현실주의자 그룹에 끼게 되었고 폭 넓은 활동으로 초현실주의를 이끌었다.
초현실주의의 여러 작가들 중에서 달리를 주목하는 이유는 초현실주의에 대한 그의 이념과 작품에서 두드러진 표현들, 꿈, 환상, 그리고 종교적인 이미지들의 무의식적 표현 때문이다. 남들과 다른 비범한 시각적 상상력과 강렬한 창조적 지성 그리고 편집광적 비평방법과 자동기술법은 달리의 무의식 해방에서 오는 엉뚱함과 광기를 화면에 옮기는 과정에서 카타르시스를 유발시킨다. 이것은 마음의 정화를 일으키기 위한 도구이자 방편이다.
그의 창의적 활동은 개인의 내면세계에 대한 구체적인 증거물로 자리 잡게 되었고 이런 창의적 활동을 통해 내면을 표현함으로서 인간 개인의 삶을 표출시키고 어려움을 수용하고 보다 명확한 자기 동일시, 자기실현을 꾀하게 된다.
이렇듯 미술이 갖는 창의적 활동은 인간의 무의식을 의식화하면서 자신의 욕망, 상처, 소원하는 것 등에 직면할 수 있게 한다. 이러한 행위는 자연스럽게 치유로 이어져 미술치료 분야에 중요한 영역을 차지하고 있다.
미술치료 또한 프로이트와 융의 이론에 배경을 두고 다양한 영역으로 전개 되면서 괄목할만한 발전을 보여주고 있다. 프로이트의 개인무의식은 자유연상에 의해 미술치료로 연결되고, 융의 집단무의식과 원형은 만다라와 적극적 심상을 통해 미술치료로 확장 되었다.
본 연구는 달리의 작품을 프로이트와 융의 무의식을 중심으로 작품이 가지고 있는 요소들을 심층적으로 분석하여 미술치료적인 요인을 찾아내고 이에 근거하여 미술치료의 이론적인 틀을 제시하는데 목적을 둔다.
즉, 달리의 무의식세계의 작품과 무의식의 투사에 효과적이었던 창작기법을 통하여 미술치료 현장에서 적용할 수 있는 폭넓은 지침을 찾기 위해 고찰한다. 그리고 달리 작품 속에서 보여주는 꿈, 환상, 신화와 종교적인 이미지들의 분석을 통해서 미처 알지 못했던 감정의 갈등 요소를 이해하여, 미술치료 임상에서 전문적으로 활용될 수 있는 이론적인 타당성을 제시하고 고찰하게 됨으로써 임상에서의 이론적 체계화에 도움이 되고자 한다.
