창작적 감상을 통한 책 만들기 활동이 유아의 어휘력, 언어표현력 및 사고력 발달에 미치는 효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 창작적 감상을 통한 책 만들기 활동이 유아의 어휘력, 언어표현력 및 사고력 발달에 어떠한 효과가 있는지 알아보고자 하는데 있다.
연구의 대상은 D광역시에 소재한 M어린이집에 재원중인 만 5세 유아 40명으로 실험집단과 통제집단의 인원은 각각 20명씩 구성하였다. 본 연구에서는 유아의 언어능력 중 어휘력과 언어표현력을 측정하기 위해 장영애(1981)의 검사 도구를 사용하였고. 유아의 사고력 검사를 위해서는 주영희(1982)가 제작한 유아의 언어 및 사고능력 검사를 사용하였다.
본 연구의 절차는 교사 훈련, 검사자 훈련, 예비연구, 사전검사, 실험처치 및 사후검사 순서로 이루어졌으며, 본 연구에서 수집된 자료는 SPSS12.0 프로그램을 사용하여 실험 및 통제집단의 사전·사후검사의 평균 및 표준편차를 구하고 각각의 하위 요인에 대한 사전검사 점수를 공변인으로 하여 사후검사 점수에 대한 공분산분석(ANCOVA)을 실시하였다.
본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 창작적 감상을 통한 책 만들기 활동이 유아의 어휘력 발달에 미치는 효과가 있는가에 대한 연구 결과는 창작적 감상을 통한 책 만들기 활동을 한 실험집단과 하지 않은 통제집단 간에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 창작적 감상을 통한 책 만들기 활동이 유아의 언어표현력 발달에 미치는 효과가 있을 것인가에 대한 연구 결과는 창작적 감상을 통한 책 만들기 활동을 한 실험집단과 하지 않은 통제집단 간에 ‘문장 수’에서만 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
셋째, 창작적 감상을 통한 책 만들기 활동이 유아의 사고력 발달에 미치는 효과가 있을 것인가에 대한 연구결과는 창작적 감상을 통한 책 만들기 활동을 실시한 실험집단이 하지 않은 통제집단보다 유아의 ‘지각에 기초한 사고력’과 ‘분석적 사고력’, ‘추리적 사고력’ 발달에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
이상에서 논의된 연구결과, 창작적 감상을 통한 책 만들기 활동은 유아들이 자발적으로 표현하고자 하는 욕구를 증진시키며 실제로 표현할 수 있는 기회를 제공하여 어휘와 문장 수 및 사고력 발달을 돕는데 효과적이라고 할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to grasp how book making activities through creative reading had effects on the young children's vocabulary, verbal expression and thinking abilities.
The subjects of this study were consisted of 20 for the experiment and 20 for the controled group at the age of 5 at M kindergarten in D city. In this research, Jang young-eh's tool(1981), was used to measure the young children's vocabulary and verbal expression and young children's verbal and thinking abilities testing tool by Ju Young-hee(1982) was used to measure young children's thinking abilities.
The procedure of this research was made up of teachers' training, tester training, preliminary test, pre-test, experimental treatment and post-test. The data collected in this study was analysed for the average, standard deviation of the pre and post-testing the experiment and the control group by using SPSS12.0 and covariance(ANCOVA).
Followings are the results of the study;
First, there was a meaningful difference in the young children's vocabulary development between the experimental group who have practiced the book making activity through creative reading and the control group who have general reading experience.
Secondly, the experiment conducted to find out how the book making activity through creative reading have an effect on the young children's verbal expression had a meaningful effect in the number of the sentences between the experimental group and the control group.
Thirdly, the experimental group who have practiced the book making activity through creative reading have more meaningful development in the verbal thinking abilities development based on the young children's perception, analytic thinking abilities, reasoning thinking abilities than the control group who practiced the book making activity by not using creative reading.
This results imply that the book making activities through creative reading help young children to promote the desire to express voluntarily, give a chance to express, to be effective on development for vocabularies, sentences and thinking abilities.
