유치원 교육기관에서의 무용교육 실태조사에 관한 연구 = Study on the Actual Educational State of Dancing at Kindergarten

The purpose of this study is to understand people's recognition toward dance education and actual operational state of dance education at kindergarten to find out the problem of dance education and indicate developing direction for current dance education, so that people related
to infant education and people majoring in dance won't make any mistakes in teaching dance to the children anymore and get closer to the children.
Teaching and learning a dance is just like creating an upright person one by one. This is because the original purpose of dance education is building of humanity. Strengthening physical, mental health and leading
a balanced mind and life by learning creative and free movement, dancing. This is exactly what we call as harmonious development of humanity.
It creates driving force in child's life if the child does physical activity during infancy, when basic movement of an infant develops, and from the angle of learning through moving, dance education for infant gets bigger significance. However, the actual dance education conducted in
the kindergartens located at Suwon is not systematical and they are not equipped with appropriate text books for children either. Moreover, although recognition toward dance education for infants were high, it is lacking of appropriate facilities or teachers' careful attention and consideration.
Therefore, there was a prejudice against dance education that dance education is only for particular infants who are highly skilled. This is wrong and we need to generalize the idea that anyone can learn to dance, so that children in their infancy can build upright emotions and develop their body and intelligence by learning dance. Furthermore, importance for ethnicity and humanity is getting bigger as the society is rapidly developing into complex and disordered state.
Therefore, dance education for building humanity and education for the whole person shouldn't be limited to particular groups, it should be expanded to the infants by including it in infant education and social education.
