필자의 의미 교섭 양상 연구 = (A) Study on the aspect of meaning negotiation

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 사회적 관점을 기반으로 하는 쓰기 교육 이론에서 강조하는 사회적 상호작용에 대한 연구를 위해 의미 교섭 양상을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 의미 교섭 양상 분석 연구는 사회적 상호작용에 대해 재개념화하고, 구체적인 상황에 대해 살펴봄으로써 사회적 상호작용을 기반으로 하는 쓰기 지도의 방향을 모색했다.
이러한 목적을 위해 본 연구는 의미 교섭이 쓰기 교육에서 갖는 의미를 탐색하고, 의미 교섭을 통한 쓰기 교육이 이루어지기 위한 원리를 밝혀냈으며, 이를 통해 의미 교섭 양상을 분석하고자 했다. 이를 위해 다음과 같이 연구를 진행하였다.
Ⅱ장에서는 의미 교섭이 갖는 의의와 의미 교섭이 이루어지기 위한 원리를 탐구하였다. 의미 교섭의 개념은 쓰기에서 필자와 독자가 사회적 상호작용을 통해 의미를 구성해 나가는 과정으로 정의한다. 사회적 상호작용이 근본적으로 의미 구성과의 깊은 관련성을 맺기 위해서는 대화를 통한 사회적 상호작용뿐만 아니라 글에서 드러나는 의미 변화를 파악할 수 있어야 한다. 따라서 의미 교섭 양상은 상호작용을 통한 의미 변화까지를 포괄하여 기술하였다.
이때 의미 교섭은 역할 담당과 상호 교섭의 원리로 작용한다. 의미 교섭이 쓰기가 이루어지는 상황이라면 그 상황에는 필자와 독자가 존재한다. 이들은 상호작용을 통해 역할을 인식하고, 이러한 인식은 다시 의미 교섭의 바탕이 된다. 자기 이해와 상대 이해를 통한 의미 교섭은 정보를 교환하게 하고, 이러한 정보 교환은 다시 의미의 변화를 가져온다. 정보 교환을 통한 의미 변화는 상호 교섭이라는 원리를 통해 이루어진다. 역할 담당과 상호 교섭의 원리는 순환적으로 의미 교섭에 영향을 미친다.
Ⅲ장에서는 구체적인 쓰기 상황 분석을 통해 의미 교섭 양상을 분석하였다는데 의미가 있다. 이때 의미 교섭이 이루어지는 영역은 필자와 독자가 역할 인식을 통해 상호 교섭이 일어나는 부분이다. 의미 교섭은 필자와 독자 사이에 질문, 제안, 제시, 답변과 같은 대화 방식을 통해 이루어진다.
의미 교섭은 다시 의미 교섭 방식과 의미 교섭 대상에 따라 분석할 수 있다. 의미 교섭 방식에서는 첨가, 삭제, 구체화, 대체와 같은 미시적인 변화와 재조직이라는 거시적인 변화를 살펴보았다. 의미 교섭 대상은 크게 내용적인 부분과 형식적인 부분으로 나뉘며, 형식적인 부분에는 글의 구조 및 형식, 예상독자, 글의 목적의 변화를 통해 이루어짐을 제안하였다.
이상과 같이 의미 교섭에 대한 이론적 탐구와 양상 분석 연구는 다음과 같은 의의를 갖는다.
첫째, 기존의 사회적 상호작용의 전략적 측면으로써 쓰기에 도움을 주는 것이었다면, 의미 교섭은 의미 구성 과정으로써의 쓰기 자체라고 할 수 있다. 의미 교섭이라는 용어를 통해 사회적 상호작용이 쓰기에서 가질 수 있는 의미를 새롭게 살펴볼 수 있다.
둘째, 구체적인 쓰기 상황에 대한 분석을 통해 사회적 상호작용이 구체적인 쓰기 상황에 주는 교육적 시사점을 마련하는데 좋은 자료가 될 수 있다.
셋째, 의미 교섭에서 이루어지는 쓰기와 관련된 요소들을 분석함으로써 쓰기 교육 요소로서 연구될 수 있다.
쓰기 교육에서 사회적 상호작용에 대한 중요성은 앞으로도 계속 강조되리라 생각된다. 그러나 그것이 철학적이고, 추상적인 입장에서 논의되는 것에서 벗어나 구체적인 교육 요소를 갖기 위해서는 쓰기 장면과 의미 교섭이 어떠한 관련성을 맺고 있는지 연구하는 것이 필요하다. 또한 독자와의 대화를 통한 의미 교섭 뿐 아니라 다양한 자료나 맥락에 대한 고려와의 관련성을 살펴봄으로써 폭넓은 연구가 이루어지기를 제언한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aims of this study is to analyze the aspect of meaning negotiation in writing based on the view of social interaction. This study researched practical conditions in writing and analyzed social interaction. Through the results of analysis, we tried to find the direction of writing education.
This study suggested the principle of meaning negotiation in writing education. Through the principle, we researched significance in meaning negotiation. For this study, we examined as follows.
In chapter Ⅱ, we investigated the principle and researched significance in meaning negotiation. Meaning negotiation is defined the process of meaning construction in writing. At this time, we can write in meaning negotiation.
Social interaction consist of conversation and reading. These activities have some connection with meaning composition of writer. Social interaction operate to change meaning of writer. So for this study, we analyzed social interaction and meaning change of composition.
The principles of meaning negotiation are role taking and transaction. The writer and audience recognize their own role in social interaction of writing. After recognition of the role, the writer and audience can do meaning negotiation continually. This principle is role taking.
Meaning negotiation is based on self-consciousness and other-consciousness. These essentials help to compare informations. And we can compose new meaning in meaning negotiation. This principle of meaning change is just transaction. The principles of role taking and transaction have an effect on meaning negotiation.
In chapter Ⅲ, we analyzed the aspect of meaning negotiation. We suggested analysis in social interaction of writing process. Meaning negotiation mean the writing course in social interaction of the writer and audience. Social interaction is formed conversation method as question, proposal, presentation and demand.
Meaning negotiation is divided into the object and the method. The method of meaning negotiation is divided into microscopic change and macroscopic change. The microscopic change contains addition, elimination, embodiment and interchange. And the macroscopic change is reorganization.
The object of meaning negotiation is divided into content and form. The content of meaning negotiation is change of text content. The form of meaning negotiation contains changes of text structure & form, audience and text object.
This study is significant as follows.
First, meaning negotiation is course of meaning composition. Second, we analyzed meaning negotiation in writing activities. Third, analysis of the aspect of meaning negotiation is important in the study of writing.
Theoretical discussion of social interaction is enough in writing education. It will be stressed that social interaction is important in writing education. In the future, it is need that analysis of the aspect of social interaction. It is important that we study variety of sources and context as well as social interaction in meaning negotiation.
