대학생의 완벽주의와 우울에 관한 성경적 상담

국문 초록 (Abstract)

대학생의 시기는 자아개념과 자아 정체성 발달, 성역할의 발달, 영적 및 도덕적 발달이라는 발달 과업을 이루어야 하는 중요한 시기이며, 자신의 선택과 책임의 영역이 넓어진 대학생활에도 적응해야 한다. 더구나 사회 진출을 준비하는 시기로서 사회가 요구하는 인재가 되어야 한다는 압박감과 취업에 대한 불안감 등은 대학생들에게 완벽주의를 강화시킬 수 있다.
이러한 완벽주의가 기능적으로 작용할 때는 보람감, 성취감 등을 느끼게 되지만, 역기능적으로 작용할 때는 수행에 대한 높은 기대, 불안, 분노, 대인관계의 어려움, 우울 등의 인지적·정서적·신체적으로 부적응이 나타나고 심각한 성격장애로 발전할 수도 있다.
본 연구에서는 완벽주의의 역기능적인 면을 중심으로 대학생의 완벽주의와 우울에 대해 연구하였고, 완벽주의와 우울의 상관성을 알아보기 위해 기독대학생들을 대상으로 설문을 한 후 결과를 분석했다. 설문 분석 결과 완벽주의는 부모양육태도와 상관성이 높고, 우울과도 상관성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 신앙성숙도가 높을수록 우울은 낮게 나타났다.
마지막으로 위의 결과들에 대해 성경적 상담학적으로 어떻게 접근할 것인지 연구해보았다. 먼저 C.C.E.F의 성경적 상담의 개념, 원리와 방법을 살펴보고, 대학생의 완벽주의와 우울을 성경적 관점에서 조명해보았다. 또 인간은 하나님께 범죄하여 타락하였고, 인간의 문제(열매)는 마음의 문제(막7장)라는 성경적 입장에서 완벽주의와 우울에 대한 마음의 문제를 알아보고, 성경적 상담으로 어떻게 상담할 것인지 연구해 보았다.
그리고 완벽주의로 인해 우울을 겪고 있는 피상담자에 대해 성경적 상담의 방법을 적용하여 상담한 결과, 하나님의 역사하심과 성경적 대안을 통해 회복되는 과정을 보게 되었다.
본 연구를 통해 성경적 상담의 효율성과 탁월성이 알려져 고통당하는 많은 이들에게 성경적 상담을 통한 예수 그리스도의 온전한 위로와 회복케 하심 을 체험하여 맡기신 사명을 잘 감당하고, 하나님께 영광 돌리게 되기를 간절히 바라는 마음이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

It is in the period of university students that self-conception, self-identification, sex roles, spirit and morals are developed. Especially, university students should adapt themselves to the new environment where they feel the strong sense of responsibility for their choice, preparing the entry in the society. The perfectionism is expected to escalate from the mental pressure in social demands for the qualified individual as well as the feeling of insecurity for employment.
It could be sensed that the perfectionism reinforces feeling of rewards and a sense of achievement in a positive way. Reversely, the perfectionism may cause not only physical maladjustment such as high expectation for achievement, uneasiness, anger, trouble in the social relationship and depression, but also serious character disorder.
The research deals with perfectionism and depression, with an emphasis on the reverse effect of perfectionism. In addition, the survey is carried out with the Christian university students in order to investigate the relativity of perfectionism to depression. The result of the survey indicates that perfectionism is closely related to parental behavior and it has something to do with depression as well. Furthermore, the high Shepherd Scale demonstrates low depression.
Finally, how the research results apply is studied on the basis of the biblical counseling. The concept, principle and method of biblical counseling in C.C.E.F are also examined. Furthermore, perfectionism and depression for the university students are reflected in the view of the Bible. Besides, the spiritual issue on perfectionism and depression is considered from the viewpoint of the Bible that humans were depraved from committing a crime against God, and the issue on humans is subjected to the spiritual issue. This research is expected to demonstrate how the counseling should be served on the basis of the Bible.
The case shows how God's work and the biblical alternatives restore the client who is experiencing depression from perfectionism. It is hoped that this research could support the effectiveness and excellence of the biblical counseling, and could be the cornerstone of the biblical counseling to restore some people who suffer from perfectionism.
