The purpose of this study is to reveal the knowledge of Transition Education among special education teacher and provide them basic material for devising Transition Education Plan.
The ultimate goal of this study is to make Transition Education in school effectively. To achieve the goal of this study, research level of knowledge of Transition Education, priority in a course of Transition Education, and importance of Transition Education Plan with follows;
First, the knowledge of transition education between teachers of special school and teachers of special classes in normal school.
Second, the knowledge of transition education between primary and secondary school teacher in special school for student with disability.
Third, the knowledge of transition education among teacher who teaches subject.
To achieve the goal of this study; The questionnaire used in this study was consisted of 3 parts; level of knowledge of transition education, priority in a course of transition education, importance of transition education plan.
In this study, teachers in special class and special school centering around Daegu and Gyeongsangbook-do province were surveyed by mail, e-mail, and interview. The data collected from survey processed by a statistical analysis (SPSS 10.0 for Windows). The questionnaire was designed to examine an opinion about transition education with independent variable; workplace(special class, special school), grade in charged(primary, over secondary), subject in charged(vocational subject, general subject).
As the result of the study, there is a narrow difference of knowledge about Transition Education among special education teacher, but they consider how to perform successful Transition Education in special school from a position of students.
