In highbrow culture and arts leisure related to knowledge and education, participants' answer have a biased tendency to coincide in social desirability. So in leisure activities, participants have conceived of appreciating exhibitions which is influenced by knowledge and education as an important satisfaction factor. Therefore this study was started from the question about what kind of factor actually effects on leisure satisfaction in high culture and arts leisure. The purpose of the study is to examine participation's leisure activity in highbrow culture and arts based on the relationship of leisure motivation, experiences and satisfaction of participants.
In the results of the study, it was confirmed the fact that participants have thought they went to a museum because of appreciating exhibitions which is influenced by knowledge and education. But the major predictor variable of experience in satisfaction was not related to appreciating exhibitions but to the outside circumstances. And there was not significantly difference between participations whether or not having knowledge of exhibitions in satisfaction.
In conclusion, the results of this study have an implication for the importance of social demands in high culture and arts leisure. Because of leisure participation motivations could be socially constructed, consciously revealed motivations cannot explain the reason why people satisfied in leisure activity. It will be the incitement which makes the next study regarding social power of influence.
