초등학교 전입생의 학교 적응 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초등학교 전입생들이 새로운 학교에 적응하는 과정과 여기에 영향을 미치는 요인을 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적에 따라 연구자는 초등학교 6학년 학급에 전입한 두 남학생들의 생활을 살펴보았다. 그래서 첫째, 전입생의 인간관계는 어떻게 변하는가? 둘째, 전입생의 학교생활은 어떻게 변하는가? 셋째, 전입생들의 적응에 영향을 미치는 요인은 무엇인가? 넷째, 전입생들의 적응이 갖는 사회 문화적 의미는 무엇인가? 라는 연구문제를 제기하였다. 그리고 각각의 물음에 답하는 과정을 통해서 초등학교 전입생들이 새 학교에 적응해 가는 과정에 대한 심층적인 이해를 파악하고자 시도하였다.
본 연구는 초등학교 전입생의 적응에 대한 방법과 구조를 연구하기 위해 문화기술적 연구를 통해 자료를 수집하고 분석하였고 그 기법으로는 참여관찰(partcipant observation)과 심층면담(ethnographic interview)을 활용하였다. 본 연구를 위한 자료 수집은 2006년 5월 16일부터 이루어졌으며 참여관찰과 심층면담 및 개방형 글쓰기, 인터넷 채팅 자료 등을 중심으로 10월 13일까지 진행되었다. 전입생들의 적응은 시기의 변화가 매우 중요하기 때문에 전입 온 순간부터 시작해 적응이 안정기에 접어든 10월 중순까지 매일 단계별로 관찰을 실시했다.
이러한 결과로써 적응에 대한 두 관점인 관계적 측면과 생활적 측면을 밝혀 낼 수 있었다. 이러한 두 가지 관점에서 변화의 기준이 되는 시간적 측면을 충격기, 적응기, 안정기로 나누어 특징들을 찾아 낼 수 있었다. 이러한 변화에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 첫째, 개인적 특징들이다. 여기에는 전입생의 성격, 외모, 활동능력 등이 포함되어 있으며 이러한 특징에 따라 적응의 모습이 달라졌다. 둘째, 물리적 공간이다. 이는 교실 내에서의 자리와 관련이 깊었고 사이버 상의 가상공간도 포함이 되어 관계를 형성하고 적응에 도움을 받았다. 셋째, 놀이와 게임이다. 전입생들은 놀이와 게임을 통해 친구들의 개별적인 특징을 파악하고, 학급의 전공동체 의식을 내면화 함으로써 진정한 학급의 일원으로 적응을 마치게 된다.
지금까지도 그랬지만 전입생들은 시간이 지나면 학급의 일원으로 자리잡으며 적응해 간다. 그러나 시간의 문제를 놓고 따지는 것은 교육적으로 너무 무책임한 태도일 듯 싶다. 전입생들이 적응하기 위해 소모하는 자신의 에너지와 그동안의 심리적 공백 등은 최소화 시켜야 한다. 새로운 환경에서 누군가 자신을 도와준다고 하는 느낌은 일의 원활함 이상의 심리적 안정과 만족을 느끼게 한다. 본 연구를 통해 전입생이 보다 긍정적인 방향으로 적응할 수 있도록 교육에 동참하는 모든 사람들이 도움을 줄 수 있기를 기대해 본다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study adaptation progress and have on effect on factor find out of the new coming students in the elementary school.
According to this aims research into the new coming student's life in sixth grade classroom. Three research questions were posed in this study:
1. How change does the human relation of the new coming students?
2. How change does the school life of the new coming students?
3. What is the effect to the adaptation of the new coming students?
4. What has the social-culture meaning which the adaptation of the new coming students?
It proposed the research problem which is. And it asks each the process which answers to lead and, the elementary school the new coming students are adapted to the new school and it attempted the depths gain and loss against the process.
The research is ethnographic study which it sees a method and the structure against the adaptation of elementary school new coming students it collected to analyze ethnographic interview with partcipant observation it applied a data and. The collection of data for the research which it sees from 2006 May 16th the participation observatioing to become accomplished and ethnographic interview and opening wrote, until October 13th it was advanced the Internet chatting data. The adaptation of the new coming students the change of time very, because important is from transfer all moment, until October middle where the adaptation to start approaches in the stability state it executed observatioing everyday especially.
With like this result it will reveal the relationship side which is two viewpoints against an adaptation and the live side and the possibility which it will put out it was. The time side where becomes the standard of change from like this two branch viewpoint it will search the shock state, the adaptation state and stability state sharing features and the possibility which it will put out it was. First, personal feature it effect like this change. To here the character, the outward appearance and the activity ability back of the new coming students were included and they followed in like this feature and the features of adaptation changed. It is a second, physical space. With the place from inside the classroom the cyberspace the relation to be deep became the inclusion and it formed it received a relationship and a help in adaptation. It is third, playing and a game. The new coming students lead and playing and game they grasp the whole community ceremony of class and the individual feature of the friends. This it finishes an adaptation with the member of true feelings one class.
Even until the now like that the new coming students when the time passes, are located with the member of class and but they are adapted and they go. But it puts the problem of time at education too much irresponsibility one attitude. The new coming students are adapted with energy of oneself whom it consumes the during that time psychological blank back must minimize. The impression which it says that it assists troublesome from new environment, with psychological stability the above it is smooth does to feel a satisfaction. The research which it sees it will lead and the new coming students could be adapted with more affirmative direction in order, there is a possibility all people who participate in education decreasing a help it tries to expect.
