The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the effect of career women's participation in dance sport activities on their ordinary life satisfaction, mainly focusing on the effect on the change of life satisfaction of the dance sport participants by measuring the degree of satisfaction and comparing the differences between 'before' and 'after' participations in the activities of the dance sport participants and non-participants who did not participate in the regular leisure activity.
The subjects were divided into the experiment group who participated in the dance sports and the control group who did not joined dance sports. The experiment group participated in the 3-month dance sport activities which were performed in their work places, and the control group was made up of women researchers who did not join regular sport activities or any social athletics.
The survey of job stress was done by the questionnaires which were used by Kwak (1996) to study the model of job stress; but in this survey, they were changed into the effective questions on leisure and job satisfaction. Job satisfaction was measured based on the 'Job Diagnosis Survey' which was developed by Heckmand and Oldman (1976) in order to measure office workers' job satisfaction. Life satisfaction was measured by SWLS (Satisfaction With Life Scale), the overall measure of life satisfaction composed of 5 questions, which was designed by Diener et al. (1985), and later translated by Won (1989).
The data which were collected through pre-/post-measurement on each variable were analyzed for the purpose of research using SPSS ver. 12.0 and AMOS 4.0. The causal model between dance sport participation and job stress/job satisfaction/life satisfaction was established, and the causality between variables was analyzed using 'path analysis' and 'structural equation model analysis.'
    The results are as follows:
First, the dance sport participation has a meaningful effect on job stress.
Second, the participation exercises a meaningful effect on job satisfaction.
Third, the participation has a meaningful influence on life satisfaction.
Fourth, the causality between dance sport participation and job stress/job satisfaction/life satisfaction was found. Namely, the change of job stress by the dance sport participation has a meaningful effect on job satisfaction and life satisfaction, and job satisfaction exerts a meaningful influence on life satisfaction both directly and indirectly.
In general conclusion, this study can present that participation in dance sport activities can affect job stress, and can be a leading factor for enhancing job satisfaction and life satisfaction.
