For the way of better educational circumstance and learning English, the early-studying-abroad is getting increased. It has the social and cultural background of Koran educational enthusiasm and ensure competitive power in the labor market.
This study aims to consider not only the social meaning of early-studying-abroad, but also its current situation and issues. And the real state and problems of Korean public school education are investigated by comparing the experiences of the students who have studied abroad in their early age. Also, the requirement of its improvement is examined in this study.
The motivation of increasing studying-abroad is referred to the school education and, thus, it can be the start to ensure better education.
This study is based on the theoretical background of preceding connected researches. Guided by the result, the quantitative methods such as survey and interview about the middle schools in Kang-nam district are used in this research.
The frequency analysis is carried to study the collected data and find out the whole tendency of the result.
According to the students who have experienced of early-studying-abroad, the school education has following problems.
① Students have so many subjects to study. The learning content is very big and teaching methods are not diverse and effective. ②Students'' participation is not active. ③ The differentiated class is not effective by reason of non-differential learning contents. ④ As for the subject such as art, P. E, and music, the grading can be problematic.
⑤ Extracurricular activities are quite formal and students are not interested in them. ⑥ Counseling is not effective and attractive. ⑦ Students shout abuse and speak thoughtlessly. ⑧ Students think the whole school culture strict and compulsory. And they want improvements.
As for the improvement and needs of Korean education, therefore, those students want to have less subjects and selective art, P.E, and music classes in the afternoon. Also, this research shows that authentic English classes and practical and effective differentiated classes are needed. Students'' active involvement can be supported by effective and arranged instructions. In addition, Students needs about extracurricular activities should be taken into account and it can make them active. More restroom, equipments for P.E. class and air conditioning systems are necessary. The students require the atmosphere that they respect their differences, understand and communicate each other. Finally they ask free and democratic school climate.
