업종 및 지역에 따른 벤처기업 입지특성에 관한 연구 : 강남구, 금천구를 중심으로 = (A) Study on the Venture Location Characteristics considering Industrial Categories and Regions: Focusing on GangNam-Gu and GeumCheon-Gu in Seoul

A venture business is a technology-intensive newborn business which challenges to new project and has a character of high-profit and high-risk with new idea and technology. This venture business has a ripple effect on national industrial competitive power, and is embossed as new business which can overcome the difficulty of low-growth with leading equipment-intensive large enterprises and labor-intensive small and medium enterprises. This is important key to strategy of community development and affects remarkably not only revitalization of urban economy, but also restoration and revitalization of the city which falls behind. So, this study grasped general status, distribution, transition of venture business based on location-factor of venture business for revitalization of venture business. Difference of venture business from 'types of business' and 'region' of venture business location is analyzed with taking notice of the fact that many venture business range specific regions and most types of business is the manufacturing industry or business service industry. For this, Gang-nam district and Geum-cheon district, which have a highest rate of manufacturing industry and business service industry in Seoul Metropolitan Government, are selected as an object region of study. As year-on-year transition and distribution status of venture business from types of business and region in Gang-nam district and Geum-cheon district are analyzed, the results show that the number of venture business in Gang-nam district has diminished by about 40% since 2001, that in Geum-cheon district has increased by about 3 times. Through analysis of this transition and distribution status, I analyzed by using venture business's sales with the hypothesis that difference of venture business's location-factor is affected from types of business and region. Employee's per-capita sales is fixed to standardize difference by scale of business, and this analysis is based on the hypothesis that business is located in the place where its profit can be maximum. Venture business's character and location-fluent from types of business and region are analyzed by enforcing technology-statistics-analysis about basic data just like venture business's 'sales', 'the number of employee', 'capitals' and transitions of location-factor deduced by inquiry of theory and preceding study to grasp basic character of venture business from each types of business and region. Character of venture business shows that many venture business in Gang-nam district have bigger average scale and are more revitalized in aspect of production activity with the fact that its employee's per-capita sales, total sales, the number of employee, capitals are showed as more than Geum-cheon district. But Geum-cheon district has a merit of accessibility with subway, financial agency, large enterprise except institute. On the other hand, in aspect of the number of large enterprise in same radius, Gang-nam district is by from 2 times to 7 times than Geum-cheon district, so Gang-nam district has an advantage in business location which values cooperation or network with large enterprise. In aspect of the number of venture business in same radius and kindred venture business, Geum-cheon district has more locations than Gang-nam district and has high-degree of accumulation. Manufacturing industry is better in aspects of employee's per-capita sales, total sales, capitals, total assets than business service industry in point of types of business and is located in the place where announced price of land in public and density of population are lower than business service industry. On the average, business service industry is located in the place where better accessibility with subway, financial agency, institute, large enterprise can be assured. It is found out that business service industry has more large enterprise in same radius, and has better accessibility with large enterprise than manufacturing industry. On the other hand, the analysis shows that manufacturing industry is more accumulated at close quarters than business service industry with the fact that manufacturing industry has more venture business and kindred business within a radius of 1500m, but business service industry has more those within a radius of more than 2000m. Based on this basic statistics analysis, by enforcing dispersion-analysis to inspect the difference of venture business's location-price from types of business and region, occurrence of difference in venture business's per-capita sales from types of business and region is identified, and by enforcing CHAID analysis while Dataminning for research of effect-transition of venture business's location, main factor, which affects location of venture business from types of business and region, is deduced. As a result of that, affection of types of business is most outstanding from region, affection of region is most powerful based on types of business. Deduction of model by each Node is attempted to analyze detailed effect-transition from classified each Node by enforcing analysis of correlation and analysis of regression. By enforcing analysis of logistic selection-model, the fact is identified that venture business's location character shows that Gang-nam district values distance from institute in selection of location and Geum-cheon district values accessibility with large enterprise and financial agency.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

벤처기업은 새로운 아이디어와 기술을 가지고 새로운 사업에 도전하는 고수익과 고위험을 특징으로 하는 기술집약적 신생기업을 말한다. 이러한 벤처기업은 국가산업경쟁력에 미치는 파급효과가 크고, 설비집약적인 대기업과 노동집약적 중소기업을 선도하여 저성장의 어려움을 극복할 수 있는 새로운 산업으로 부각되었다. 이는 지역개발전략에도 중요한 요소로서 도시경제 활성화뿐만 아닌 낙후된 도시의 재생과 활성화에 큰 영향으로 그 중요성을 인정받고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 벤처기업의 활성화를 위하여 벤처기업들의 입지요인을 바탕으로 벤처기업의 일반적 현황과 분포 및 변화추이를 파악하였다. 벤처기업이 특정지역에 많이 분포함과 주된 업종이 제조업과 사업서비스업임을 착안하여 벤처기업 입지의 업종과 지역에 따른 벤처기업의 입지 차이를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 서울시의 제조업과 사업서비스업의 비율이 가장 높은 강남구와 금천구를 연구대상지역으로 선정하였다.
강남구와 금천구의 업종 및 지역별로 벤처기업의 연도별 변화추이와 분포현황을 살펴본 결과 강남구는 벤처기업의 수가 2001년 이후로 약 40%정도 감소하였으나, 금천구의 경우에는 약 3배가량 증가하였다. 이러한 변화추이와 분포현황의 분석을 통해 「벤처기업은 업종 및 지역에 따른 입지요인의 차이가 있을 것」이라는 가설을 세우고 벤처기업의 매출액을 이용하여 분석하였다. 종속변수로 사용한 벤처기업의 매출액은 기업규모에 의한 차이를 표준화시키기 위하여 종업원 1인당의 매출액으로 설정하였으며 이는 기업의 입지가 기업의 이윤을 극대화할 수 있는 곳에 입지한다는 가정을 바탕으로 하고 있다.
각 업종 및 지역별 벤처기업의 기초적인 특성파악을 위하여 벤처기업의 매출액, 종업원수, 자본금 등의 벤처기업 기초데이터와 이론고찰 ? 선행연구로부터 도출한 입지요인변수들의 기술통계분석을 실시하여 업종 및 지역별 벤처기업 특성과 입지변수들의 특성을 파악하였다.
벤처기업의 특성은 지역별로는 강남구가 종업원 1인당 매출액, 매출액, 종업원수, 자본금 등이 모두 금천구보다 높게 나타나, 강남구의 벤처기업의 평균 규모가 더 크고 생산활동이 더 활성화되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 연구소와의 접근성을 제외한 지하철, 금융기관, 대기업과의 접근성은 금천구가 더 좋게 나타났다. 반면에 동일 반경내에서의 대기업수는 강남구가 2배에서 7배까지 높게 나타나 대기업과의 협력 또는 네트워크를 중요시하는 기업의 입지에 강남구가 유리할 것으로 나타났다. 반경내 벤처기업 및 동종벤처수는 금천구가 더 많이 입지하고 있어 집적정도가 높게 나타났다.
업종별로는 제조업이 사업서비스업보다 종업원 1인당 매출액, 매출액, 자본금, 총자산이 더 높게 나타났고, 공시지가와 인구밀도는 사업서비스업에 비해 낮은 곳에 입지하고 있다. 지하철, 금융기관, 연구소, 대기업의 접근성은 평균적으로 사업서비스업이 더 나은 곳에 입지하고 있음으로 나타났다. 반경내 대기업수도 역시 사업서비스가 더 좋게 나타나 제조업에 비해 대기업과의 접근성이 더 좋음을 확인 할 수 있었다. 반면에 반경내 벤처기업수와 동종업체수는 1500m까지 제조업이 많지만, 2000m이상의 반경은 사업서비스업이 더 많이 가지는 것을 통해 제조업이 사업서비스업에 비해 근거리에 집적하고 있음을 알 수 있었다.
이러한 기초통계분석을 바탕으로 업종 및 지역별 벤처기업의 입지 차이를 종업원 1인당 매출액을 이용하여 차이가 존재함을 규명하였고, 벤처기업 입지의 영향변수를 탐색하기 위하여 데이터 마이닝기법중 의사결정나무분석을 시행하여 업종 및 지역별 벤처기업 입지에 영향을 주는 주요요인을 도출하였다.
그 결과로는 업종과 지역에 따라 차이가 발생하고 지역별로는 업종의 영향이 가장 크게 나타났고, 업종중심으로는 지역의 영향이 큰 영향을 미침을 알 수 있었다. 분류된 각 Node별로 세부적인 영향변수를 분석하기 위하여 상관분석 및 회귀분석을 실시하여 각 Node별 모형을 도출을 시도하였다. 벤처기업 입지특성을 로지스틱 선택모형의 분석을 실시하여 강남구는 연구소와의 거리가 입지선택에 있어 중요하게 도출되었고, 금천구에 있어서는 대기업과의 접근성, 금융기관과의 접근성이 중요하게 작용하고 있음을 알 수 있었다.
