초등학교 임원활동이 성취동기와 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of a Leader Activity Experience on the Achievement Motivation and Career Maturity of Elementary School

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 임원활동 경험이 성취동기와 진로성숙도에 영향이 있는지 알아보고자 한다. 또한 본 연구는 임원활동과 성취동기 및 진로성숙도의 관련을 모색함으로써, 학교 교육을 통한 아동의 잠재된 리더십과 미래의 진로교육에 도움을 주고자 한다.
이 연구를 위해서 초등학교 4~6학년 임원 75명과 225명을 대상으로 양적·질적 자료를 조사 분석하였다.
임원집단과 비임원 집단의 사전-사후 성취동기와 진로성숙도의 양적·질적 자료를 조사 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 임원활동 전 성취동기와 진로성숙도를 비임원 집단과 비교한 결과 임원 집단은 성취동기 면에서 비임원 집단 보다 과업지향성, 정력적 혁신성, 자기책임성이 높으며, 진로성숙도 하위변인에서 계획성이 높게 나타났다.
이는 평소 다른 사람의 지시에 의해서보다는 스스로의 할 일을 찾아 책임감 있게 완수하는 아동들이 교사 및 또래집단으로부터 지지를 받아 임원으로 선출된다고 볼 수 있다.
둘째, 임원집단의 사전-사후 성취동기를 비교분석한 결과 임원집단은 임원활동을 통해 성취동기 하위변인 중 과업지향성, 자기책임성, 미래관심도가 향상되었다.
이는 임원활동을 통하여 스스로 생각하고 일을 계획하고 결정하는 과정에서 자기책임성과 성취만족이 증가되어 현재의 어려운 조건을 끈기있게 해결하고, 장기적인 미래에 대한 관심을 증진시키는데 영향을 주었다고 해석할 수 있다.
셋째, 임원집단의 사전-사후 진로성숙도를 비교분석한 결과 임원집단은 임원활동을 통해 진로성숙도 하위변인 중 자기이해, 직업지식이 향상되었다.
이는 임원활동을 통하여 실패경험을 극복하고 과거의 성공경험을 떠올려 봄으로써 자신감을 북돋아 자신에 대한 이해 정도를 높였다고 해석 될 수 있다.
또한, 자신의 장점과 약점을 파악하여 자신의 장점을 더욱 발전시켜 장래 자신의 꿈을 이루기 위해 노력하고자 다짐을 함으로써 자신에게 맞는 직업을 찾는 시도를 통해 직업지식을 높이는데 도움이 되었다고 풀이된다.
넷째, 설문지의 제한점을 보완하기 위한 질적 보고서의 소감문과 개별면접을 해 본 결과 자아를 발견하고, 타인을 이해하며, 일과 직업의 세계에 대한 긍정적인 태도를 갖도록 하는데 중요한 기회를 제공하였으며, 자신의 미래에 대하여 잠정적인 결정을 내려 보는 활동을 통하여 자신의 진로에 대하여 관심을 높이고 진로성숙도를 향상시킨 것으로 보인다.
이상의 연구 결과에 기초하여 볼 때, 임원활동이 성취동기와 진로성숙도에 영향을 미치는 만큼 다양한 임원활동 프로그램이 개발 . 적용되어 학생들의 성취동기 및 진로성숙도 수준이 향상될 수 있도록 적극적이고 교육적인 관심과 배려가 필요하다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to search for whether experience as elementary school student leader’s have an impact on achievement motivation and career maturity. Also, this study wishes to help children find their dormant leadership through schooling and future education by showing a relationship between achievement motivation and career maturity with leader activity.
300 elementary students were interviewed for this study in Gyeongi grades 4-6. 75 students were class leaders and 225 were standard students. This study originally used quantitative data but qualitative data was used instead so that a more in-depth information could be obtained.
Leader group and standard group pre- and post-score on achievement motivation and career maturity shown by the qualitative data is as follows
First, the results were compared career maturity with standard group with achievement motivation pre-leader activity are high lesson directivity, energetic, own responsibility more than the standard group in accomplishment, performance, and planning appeared high in career maturity.
This can see that children who accomplish as is responsible looking for work to do of oneself than other person's direction ordinary times get endorsement from teacher and age group and are elected by leader.
Second, leader group's achievement motivation post-score after one's results, leader group which do comparative analysis that is low rank jargon accomplishment through leader activity among lesson directivity, own responsibility, future interest degree improve.
This can solve current difficult condition patiently because own responsibility and accomplishment satisfaction are increased in process that is thought naturally through leader activity and plans work and decides, and analyze that increases interest about the long-term future but influenced.
Third, leader group's career maturity post-score after one's result leader group which do comparative analysis that is career maturity low rank jargon through leader activity among doing own job knowledge improve.
This can be analyzed that heightened about comprehension degree oneself encouraging pride by overcoming failure experience and think past success experience through leader activity.
Also, is explained that was beaconed improving job knowledge through attempt that look for correct job to oneself by pledging to try to accomplish own dream in the future developing more own forte identifying own forte and weakness.
Fourth, I offered an important opportunity finds description of ones impression of qualitative report to supplement limiting point of questionnaire and result self who have individual interview, and understands another person, and does so that have positive bearing for world of work and job, and I am seen elevates interest about own axis movement through activity that adjudicate decision that is provisional about the own future and improves career maturity.
When based on the findings above, various leader activity programs should be developed as leader activity affects achievement motivation and career maturity. Achievement motivation and career maturity level of applied students can be improved and their need and interest be attented to.
