저소득 조손가정 조부모의 양육스트레스와 사회적 지지가 아동학대에 미치는 영향 : 지역사회복지관 서비스 이용대상자를 중심으로 = Influences Caused by Parenting Stress of Grandparents in Low Income Grandparent-grandchildren Families and Social Supports to Child Abuse : Based on the visitors to Social Community Center

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 저소득 조손가정의 조부모들의 양육스트레스가 아동학대에 미치는 영향과 사회적 지지가 어떠한 역할과 기능을 하는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 수도권 지역의 22개 지역사회복지관에서 추천된 아동을 전담양육하고 있는 조손가정의 조부모를 대상으로 일반적인 특성, 양육스트레스, 사회적지지, 아동학대 정도를 조사하였고, 101명의 자료를 분석에 사용하였다.
연구결과 첫째, 조손가정의 일반적인 사항들을 살펴보았을 때 조부모는 고연령으로 건강상태가 나쁘며, 경제적 어려움, 손자녀의 부모도움을 받지 못하고 있어 손자녀 양육에 어려움이 가중되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 이러한 조손가정의 아동양육 실태는 매우 심각한 것으로 판단된다. 이에 따른 아동학대 정도의 차이에 있어서는 양육자가 여성인 경우, 학력이 낮을 때 높은 평균차이를 보이며, 부모도움 여부, 종교, 월수입, 배우자의 유무 등에서 일정정도의 평균차이를 보이나 유의한 수준은 아닌 것으로 분석된다.
둘째, 조손가정 조부모의 양육스트레스와 아동학대와의 상관관계를 살펴본 결과 양육스트레스가 많아지면 조부모의 아동학대는 더 심해지고 사회적지지가 높을수록 아동학대는 감소하고 있다. 이에, 사회적 지지가 부족하면 아동을 학대할 가능성이 높다는 것이다.
셋째, 조부모의 양육 스트레스와 사회적 지지가 아동학대에 미치는 영향관계를 분석하고, 사회적지지가 매개변인으로 작용하는지 분석한 결과, 양육스트레스가 많아지면 조부모의 아동학대는 더욱 심해지고 사회적 지지가 높을수록 아동학대는 감소하고 있다. 양육스트레스가 증가할수록 조부모의 아동학대에는 정적영향을 미치나 그 영향력은 그리 높은 수준은 아닌 것으로 분석된다. 반면 매개변수로 지정된 ‘사회적지지’가 아동학대에 미치는 영향은 -0.527로 나타남에 따라 (-)방향으로 영향력을 주고 있다. 즉, 사회적 지지가 높아지면 조부모의 아동학대가 낮은 점수를 나타낸다는 것을 의미한다. 이는 단순히 양육스트레스가 아동학대에 영향을 주는 것이 아니라 사회적 지지의 매개를 통해 아동학대의 증감에 직접적으로 영향력을 가지게 되는 것으로 분석된다.
본 연구는 조손가정 조부모의 양육스트레스와 아동학대의 실태 파악 및 경험적인 연구조차 부족한 실정에서 조부모의 양육스트레스와 사회적지지가 아동의 건전한 발달을 저해할 수 있는 아동학대에 영향을 미치고 있음을 실증적으로 검증해 보았다. 특히, 저소득 조손가정에서 갖게 되는 조부모들의 높은 양육스트레스로 인한 부정적인 결과들을 완화하는데 사회적 지지의 효과는 그의 영향력이 크므로 예방과 치료를 위한 중요한 도구임을 알 수 있다. 이에, 조손가정 아동들의 건전한 발달을 위한 적절한 사회복지적 예방프로그램을 개발하는데 중요한 근거가 될 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

On this study, I tried to find influences caused by parenting stress of grandparents in low income grandparent-grandchildren families to child abuse and the roles and functions of social supports on those families. In order to investigate actual conditions, I got a list of grandparent -grandchil- dren families from 22 Social Community Center around urban area, and examined general characteristics, Parenting stress, social supports and level of child abuse in the families. And 101 family data has been used in the analysis.
First, as results of the study, the grandparents in the grandparent-grandchildren families has very poor health condition at their old ages, are suffering from poverty and has no help from the parents of the children, which make matters worse. Therefore, it is proved to be very serious to parenting children in those families. In case of woman or poor educated fosterer, it seems to be more serious than normal, but some helps from parents, religion, income and widower or widow do not make any big difference.
Second, interrelation between parenting stress and child abuse of the grandparents in grandparent-grandchildren families shows that the more Parenting stress, the more serious child abuse and the more social support, the less child abuse. That is to say, insufficient social support make possibility of child abuse increased.
Third, as a result of the analysis on the influence of the social supports on child abuse, and whether the social supports could be a parameter on child abuse, I came to know that the more parenting stress, the more serious child abuse and the more social support, the less child abuse. Increasing parenting stress of the grandparents is causing some quiet influences which are not that serious. On the other hand, the parameter, 'social support' gave us a figure -0.527 which means positive influences. In short, increasing social supports causes lower figure on child abuse. Now, we can understand that direct influences on child abuse caused by nursing stress is not so serious, only when it comes with the parameter, 'social support', the influences on the increase and decrease of child abuse is more direct and greater.
Through this study, I could have a very positive verification that the parenting stress of grandparents in grandparent-grandchildren families and social supports could affect to the child abuse which is an obstruction to the sound growth of children in very poor surroundings where we cannot easily get the related study or information. Especially, the social supports to the grandparents of the low income grandparent-grandchildren families can ease the negative influences caused by parenting stress, and are very important tools to prevent and healing the bad results. And this study could be a basic knowledge to develop an appropriate social welfare program in order to help sound growth of the grandchildren in those families.
