단기과정 학습자를 위한 초급 한국어 교재 구성 방안

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Despite the purpose and motive have been diverse together with the numerical increase of Korean-learners, still the development of teaching materials that are fit for the various demands and purposes of learner is not enough. The existing teaching materials can not satisfy the various desire of learner, because most of them usually developed for classes and purpose of the regular course in university.

Under this real condition, there are frequent occasions to use the teaching materials used to the regular course in university to learners who have different learning period and purpose. In these cases, the learner feel difficult about Korean and lose interest about Korean.

The short term course has the characteristic that has to teach what they just need intensively and efficiently, because this is on for short time of about 3 weeks. Despite the characteristic of short-term course that has to teach what they just need intensively and efficiently, there is almost no teaching materials developed only for the short-term course now.

Because the existing teaching materials of Korean have developed for purpose and classes of the regular course in university and there is no teaching materials developed for the short-term course, so during the class of short-term course, they intend to edit teaching materials shorter or sometimes they copy and make teaching materials.

The intensive and efficient education can be done without the teaching materials fit for the short-term course. Further, the makeshift darned teaching materials are uncomfortable to all of teachers and learners, and so more it makes systematical education and learning impossible.

According to the education course and target, the contents and constitution of teaching materials should be changed.

By this reason, I have felt the necessity of teaching materials only for the short-term course, and studied the constitution plan of teaching materials aimed at developing the beginner's teaching materials in the teaching materials for the short-term course.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한국어 학습자의 수적 증가와 더불어 한국어를 배우려는 목적과 동기가 다양해졌음에도 불구하고 학습자의 다양한 요구와 목적에 맞는 교재의 개발은 미흡한 실정이다. 기존의 교재들은 보통 대학의 정규 과정의 시수와 목적에 맞추어 개발된 것들이 대부분이기 때문에 다양한 학습자의 욕구를 채워주지 못하고 있다. 실정이 이렇다 보니 학습 기간이나 목적이 다른 학습자들에게도 대학 정규 과정에서 쓰던 교재를 사용하는 경우가 많다. 이런 경우 학습자들은 한국어를 어렵게 느끼게 되며 한국어에 대해 흥미를 잃어버리게 된다.

단기과정은 약 3주 정도의 짧은 기간 동안 이루어지기 때문에 꼭 필요한 것들만 집중적이고 효율적으로 가르쳐야 한다는 특성을 지닌다. 그런데 짧은 기간 동안 집중적이고 효율적인 교육이 이루어져야 하는 단기과정의 특성에도 불구하고 현재 단기과정만을 위해 개발된 교재는 거의 없는 실정이다. 기존의 한국어 교재 대부분이 대학 정규 과정의 목적과 시수에 맞추어 개발․제작되어 있고, 단기과정만을 위해 제작된 교재가 없다 보니 단기과정 수업 시에 정규 과정에서 쓰던 교재를 줄여 쓰거나 그때 그때 교재를 복사․제작하여 쓰는 경향이 있다.

단기과정에 적합한 교재가 없는 상황에서는 효율적이고 집중적인 교육이 이루어질 수 없다. 또한 이러한 임시방편적인 짜깁기식 교재는 교사나 학습자 모두에게 불편할 뿐만 아니라 체계적인 교육과 학습을 불가능하게 만든다. 교육과정과 목표에 따라 교재의 내용과 구성은 당연히 달라져야 한다. 이에 단기 과정만을 위한 교재의 필요성을 느끼게 되었고, 단기과정의 교재 중에서도 초급 교재의 개발에 목적을 두고 교재의 구성 방안을 연구하게 되었다.
