The purpose of this study was to examine how students' internet-addiction affect their school life adjustment and how internet addiction relates to inferior factors of emotional intelligence and to provide basic materials for guiding them to adjust school life properly.
First, what is the difference of emotional intelligence of elementary school students affected by Internet-addiction according to gender?
Second, what is the difference of emotional intelligence of elementary school students affected by Internet-addiction according to work of both parents ?

The findings of the study were as follows:
First, the boys were more addicted to the internet than the girls, and the internet addiction of the boys made a wide difference to their own EQ, compared to the girls.
Second, there was no signigicant gap between the children in the first and third grade in EQ affected by online addiction.
Third the students who were from the middle and high classes were more addicted than the others who were from the low class, and online addiction made a greater difference to the EQ of the latter group than to that of the former.
Fourth, internet addiction had a similar impact on the EQ of all the school students whose scroll grads were low, intermediate and high.
Fifth, as for their outlook on the correlation offline addiction to EQ, non-addiction and a significantly positive correlation to self-awareness had a significantly negative correlation to self-awareness, emotional control, positive/optimistic attitude, empathy and interpersonal relation.
Accordingly, the suggestion is that the government should take actions to remove hazardous information to children from the internet in various ways, such as legal regulations. campaign, etc. Also school should try to come up with a long-term preventive and counseling programs, and still parents should pay more attention to their children's access to computers and let them stay away from its side effects.
