(Abstract)
The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of the family psychological environment of children, self-control and aggression, school adjustment in 5th and 6th grade elementary children.
Subjects were 559 elementary school children in the Daegu area and measured family psychological environment of children, self-control, Aggression, adaptation in elementary school life.
Major results of this study are as follows.
First, there was no difference between boys and girls on self-control but girls had higher deliberation, control of emotion compared to the boys. There was difference between boys and girls on aggression and boys had higher physical aggression, roundabout aggression, verbal aggression compared to the girls. There was difference between boys and girl on school adjustment in elementary school children and girls had higher friendship compared to the boys.
Second, there are significant correlation between all subfactors of children's perceived psychological family environment, self-control and aggression, school adjustment in elementary school children. As results of children's perceived psychological family environment, self-control and degrees of aggression showed that there was negative correlation. There were positive correlations between perceived psychological family environment, self-control and degrees of school adjustment in elementary school children.
Third, as results from Multiple Regrssional Analysis, teacher's control was greatest predictor variable on aggression and considerate thinking was greatest predictor variable on school adjustment.
