      This study investigated how a art teacher in Eco-early childhood education center perceives the meaning of material and applies them to teaching young children. For this study, a teachers in eco-early childhood education center was selected and data were collected from unoccupied observation, videotaped, interview with the participant, a written journal, pictures and works. All the collected data was classified and analyzed by emerged themes.
      The findings of the study were as follows,
      First, how a art teacher perceives the material is as below. A art teacher’s perception has shaped the sensibility of the material and has showed the change and the growth of the natural knowledge that was rooted to the formation of sensibility. The formation of sensibility was based on the sensibility of teacher’s life and the sensibility about the material that acquired from nature, and these sensibility were quite expanded and reinforced by meeting the eco-early childhood education.
      Also the concept acquired by the sensibility has changed and grew to natural knowledge. The materials worked on the natural knowledge of teacher herself, the naturally acquired knowledge, the natural knowledge
      as an art teacher and were also perceived as an intermediation to communicate with others.
      Second, the result of teacher's application about the material was as follows. The art teacher creatively changed and applied the material through plays. About the creative change and application of the material, the material has shown various usage. The material could create new image by recycling and reforming in many different way. And experiencing with nature also created new nature.
      The art teacher believes that the materials has unlimited power to improve children's creativity by appling it into plays. and it helps children to express their own feelings. It is applied the unique experience that the learning converts into the knowledge in the playing space.
